I think being moved off Z's line hurt his confidence a bit. But now I think he is getting comfortable again and a lot of that has to do with playing with goose. They are lethal together

I agree that Danny isn't an offensive d-man. But I totally disagree with the people saying he lacks confidence in the offensive zone. He's got a solid low point shot, and he is very heads up. The last few games in particular he's made some slap passes/ shots for tips that you don't see too many defensemen let alone rookie defensemen make. To be honest I would rather see him play with kindl on the pp over Quincey.

Not to take anything away from kindl cause he's playing great and progressing real well. But like you said dekeyser is the real deal. He's gonna be a top pairing shutdown guy very soon

Was at the game. Very entertaining game. Howard was great! Brunner and nyquist are lethal! With they had helm between them. Fil was definitely better. He was hat on the puck and had a lot of good scoring chances. And wow Danny D is the real deal! I can't believe how good this kid really is! Honestly think he has 1st pairing potential as a shutdown guy! Wow he is good

I will take hudler for 4 mill over Sammy for 3 mill with a NTC. Hudler is in his prime and had great chemistry with hank and fil. As much flack as he took the guy can slow down the play and make things happen. Oh and even being a small guy he did a hell of a job in front of the net.

Exactly! Stalberg and clarkson are perfect fits for are top six. Both add things that we don't currently have. As well they are good enough offensively to play with guys like pavel and Z. I dunno about you guys but with those forwards we would have a legit chance at a cup even with our defense. We are keeping pucks out of our net which is great to see. All we need is that offensive punch. For around 8 million you bring in clarkson and stalberg! Lose fils 3.5, clearys 2.5, whites 2.5ish, colo's 2.5, Sammy's 3, millers 1, and eaves 1.2. Sorry don't know exact cap numbers! Anyway you fill those spots with your youth. Nyquist for 950K, Tatar 950K, lashoff 850K, and give necessary raises to kindl and smith. This is what good teams do. They have good top six players and fill the rest of there lineup with good young players on cheap contracts. We need to start doing this if we want to contend for cups IMO.

What I don't get is Holland and Babcock say something along the lines of the best will play. But they keep throwing cleary and other junk out there and not Nyquist and/or Tatar. Exactly! Even last night, nyquist was the best player on the ice last night! Yet he still doesn't get to play with our best players. Don't even get me started about Tatar! He was so good when he was up! Sickening to see guys like cleary playing ahead of these two

So what do you propose to do with brunner. And just curious but why can't tootoo play every night? I honestly for the life of me can't understand why babs healthy scratches him. And ya I get that we have had a lot of injuries and he is a good insurance policy. But we can't afford to have the lineup that I suggested with also including Sammy. We just don't have the cap space for that. Would you lose brunner for Sammy? Cause I sure as hell would not!

Exactly! The way I look at it our defense could definitely use help, don't get me wrong. But they are young and with a full offseason I think they will be a lot better. Looking up front we would be WAY better! You'd have Pav, Z, Mule, Clarkson, stalberg, brunner as your main top 6 forwards. That top 6 has size, speed, and great skill! A blend of everything. Then when you look at the third line you got skill, speed, and a whole lot of hunger! Nyquist, Tatar, and helm would be the best 3rd line in hockey! Then the 4th is solid with Anderson up the middle add in Abby and tootoo and it's very physical.

classic wings loss. And totally classic that Kipper plays his only good game in god knows how long against us. Still pathetic. These are easy wins. 3-0 against the worst team in the league. If thats even 2-1 we are looking a lot better. And I've been a big fan of filppula's but man we should have dealt him at the deadline. He's been absolutely useless this year. Nyquist was the best player on the ice by far! Maybe Babs should open his eyes and start rewarding this kid cause he's one of very few that actually give a damn.

Why miller? He doesn't create anything offensively. If there gonna do that then it should be someone like eaves moving up. Even tootoo would be better than miller on that line. It does sound like a pretty good third line tho
