How is mark eaton nowadays??

Is Paul Ranger a UFA or is he signed in Toronto??

No surround Gus and Tatar around guys like Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Brunner, Filppula, and Helm. Give them lots of ice and opportunity around these type players and we will become a better team immediately. We need more team speed, skill, and young enthusiasm. Please play Nyquist and Tatar Holland, there not even that young and have nothing more to prove in the AHL.

I just feel if our d- core is gonna be as weak as it is, we mine as well bring in some youth and talent so we have the energy and speed to wear down other teams, so that we are more on the offensive and don't need to play so much in our own end.

We just can't match up with other teams the way we are set up right now. Now that mursak is down I'd add nyquist to the mix for the time being with bert out.

Filppula - Datsyuk - Franzen
Nyquist - Zetterberg - Brunner
Cleary - Helm - Sammy
Miller - Abdelkader - Tootoo

I'd even prefer to have eaves out there in place of sammy to be honest but that will never happen.

I agree totally! I feel like we need to surround datsyuk and zetterberg with youth, speed , and skill. I'd go with.. Flip- datsyuk- nyquist Franzen- z- brunner Tatar- helm- Sammy Abs- Anderson- eaves

No talent on this team. Well except for the obvious guys. Bottom six is terrible. 2nd line is terrible. Split up datsyuk and zetterberg. Call up nyquist and Tatar and Anderson. Gus- datsyuk- Tatar Flip-z- brunner Abdelkader- helm- eaves Sammy- Anderson- tootoo Deal franzen+ for at least a number 2 d-man. Kronwall- smith E- #2 d-man Kindl/Quincey/ colo- white And for the love of god put smith on the pp!! -

We are so damn slow, and don't have enough skill -
Guys dropping like flies before even playing a game. I want Gus up

Would love to have a line of abs-helm-eaves. I think they would be deadly

But there is no way that he shouldn't be on either unit. Also, not to take anything away from homer, I think mule has the potential to be a better in front of the net guy than homer.. Mostly because of his hands and also if he can take a beating game in and game out (I think he can) I agree. Also the mule adds that element where he can pop out into the slot. He has the shot and ability to absolutely snipe from there.

Smith needs to be playing on the pp! He's our second best offensive d-man behind only kronwall

Oh I totally agree. I don't mind Babs putting together Pav and Z, but I hate that Sammy is on the second with Fil and the Mule and that Goose isn't given a top 6 opportunity. If I was going to have Pav and Z together I'd go with something like this... Z-Pav-Goose/Brunner- Pav and Z do there thing and either Brunner or Goose can play with the two. Mule- Fil- Goose/Brunner- Fil and the Mule have always had chemistry and Goose or Brunner would be a very good compliment to those two. Cleary-Helm-Sammy- Helm is Helm, hopefully Cleary can play like his former self and Sammy can get pucks on net for those two to create havoc around it. Bert- Abby- Tootoo- I really feel like this can be the very best fourth line in the league. They will grind you out and can put up some very good numbers for a fourth line.
-
top 2 lines are almost identical to those that we had in 2008 when we won the cup. (Other than Brunner for Homer)
-
Tried it in practice today and hit post. It's a pretty sick and effective move.

Wings & Yandle twitter-rumors? Believable?

For that package we should be getting Hanzal back as well -
Should Pav and Z play on the same line for the majority of this season
Nyquistfan14 replied to Red Wings Addict's topic in General
I dont think it would be a bad idea to have them together. Flip is good enough to center the second line if he has the help. This gives Pav legitimate help and I think Z gets back to 35+ goals if healthy. If its me and there are no changes I go with this is as our top 6... Z- Pav- Nyquist Mule- Flip- Brunner/ Sammy (Hopefully Brunner is the real deal!) Doubt Babs does anything like this but I believe thats the best top 6 we can produce without signing a Semin or Doan. -
This is literally exactly my dream scenario. Im very high on Enstrom and it helps that his contract is up.
