I can't stand that they're playing AA on the wing. This kid needs the puck on his stick more often. He's too dangerous to play the wing. I really hope that's the long term plan for him.
The only good thing about him playing wing is that he can blow the zone a bit and get behind defenders

What about some sort of three way deal involving both Anaheim and Winnipeg? Something along the lines of...
To ANA: Nyquist, Marchenko
To WPG: Fowler, 1st round pick (DET)
To DET - Trouba
Anaheim gets their top 6 winger. Winnipeg gets their top 4 left handed defenseman. Detroit gets their top 4 right handed defenseman... I'm not sure if the value in and out would be good for each team, but I don't think it's that far off...

Zetterberg could be one of the better 3rd-line centermen in the league. We could roll Larkin-Nielsen-Zetterberg-Sheahan down the middle. But that won't happen. Because Red Wings.
Wouldn't even hate Z as a third line winger playing with 2 young guys in AA and Mantha.
I would love for the center ice to be Larkin-Nielsen-AA- glendening.
Abby- Larkin- Tatar
Vanek- Nielsen- Nyquist (off wings)
Z- AA- Mantha
Helm- Glenny- sheahan
That would be my ideal lineup if there's no changes. Say Tatar is traded I would like Mantha up into his spot and jurco in Mantha spot

Some things never change...remember Bert, Sammy and Cleary? Of course you do, but if it wasn't for their injuries, we'd of never seen the Jurco - Sheahan - Tatar line that pretty much got us to the playoffs that year....
And what baffles me is we've basically never seen that line put together again for some apparent reason. Those 3 were very good and they were playing against 2nd pairing defenseman at the time due to all injurie. With the depth we have now they would play against 3rd pairs. If I'm Blashill I definitely try that line again

Anyone know the latest on Franzen? Last I heard is that he was still having problems, but that was a few months ago. Is he expected to retire? He hasn't played more than 54 games in a season since 2011-12 and only 35 total games the last two years.

Just make a grind line with helm- glendening- abdelkader. At least it could be effective. Don't want helm with any of our skilled players

Looking like a terrible day I'm scared senseless for noon, but part of me doesn't care anymore cause I'm just so tired of ken holland being the wings GM. Team won't be good until this over the hill guy is out of the system

For me it was between Abby and Nielsen. But I think Nielsen will be a strong leader regardless
