Exactly. I could f***in' care less either way, especially since it didn't affect the outcome ( and believe me, I LOVE ripping the NHL), but the LA broadcast did make sure to follow up and explain. Also, I thought they should've had more angles of the play on camera, I mean , c'mon it 's LA! esteef

Jim Fox even said during the broadcast that they called Toronto during the intermission to get an explanation and that's exactly the story they were given. The call was correct. But what do I know, I was only watching the game live... esteef

Watched this game and it was a brutal injury. Puck tips off someone's stick on a shot to the Bruins net and hits Selanne under the visor in the face. He was on the ice immediately kicking and rolling around. When they got him up to get him off the ice his face and helmet were all bloody like he just took a good pounding from Leino or something. I know what you meant MAC, it's just that sometimes legitimate complaints are not even looked at at all because of the barrage of "excuses!" or "sour grapes!". It's not always sour grapes! That's what gets me, and helps perpetuate the officiating problems. Sometimes there IS something there, but it never really gets looked at because everyone's too busy calling everyone complaining about it tin foil hat heads. BTW, I do think the league favors the Pens, but that's another story. esteef

And I can't stand when people immediately throw out the "excuse" card to discredit any complaints about s***ty officiating costing a team a game. Refs can absolutely decide the outcome of a game, a critical call here and there, "make up" or not, can go a long way towards victory. esteef
