I agree. Especially when those rentals just run back where they came right after the playoffs are over. I would say that we should give even less for one this year when you look at our current standings but then again, we lead the league in the regular season pretty much every year so I don't know how good of a gauge that is. We'll see I guess. Hossa sure did look good last night, but I'll pass. esteef

Yep, Drake's value will be shown in the playoffs when Downey's ice time will probably go down. Drake can match up against most scrappy forwards, brings the body and can play on the PK. Couple all that with his veteran experience and he looks even better. Cheers! esteef

I seem to recall Rafalski being the one that's been giving the puck up quite a few times in our end recently that have ended up as goals. Lilja has not but still seems to forever carry that reputation while Rafalski continues to fly under the radar. I agree though, Rolston would do well here. esteef

Snooping around on youtube and I found this Flint Journal montage of one of MAC's games. The hockey shots are kind of erratic in the video and hard to follow but you still get a feel for the game. There's also a little interview with MAC at the end. Enjoy! Cheers! esteef

Even though it's still early, that was one of my concerns as well, we don't need anyone slower than Lilly! The more I think of it though, the more I like the idea of him being a Homer typer player in front of the net, if speed/stamina become an issue for him. We'll see I guess. Cheers! esteef

This thread is starting to get ridiculous. So now, the MAC bashers are complaining because he didn't score ENOUGH in three games? He'd be getting ripped if he didn't score ANY, so he scores and shows he's still a factor, albeit in the IHL but he's gotta start somewhere, and he's still getting ripped. Just admit it, you guys are just looking for something to rip on him for no matter how much progress he's showing. I think everone knows each other's opinions on MAC by now, but to keep coming here and stomping on anything positive he's doing is just annoying. BTW thanks for the IHL updates on him folks! esteef

The only thing current 4th liners have that MAC doesn't is better physical conditioning, once MAC gets that back I'll put him up against any of our 4th liners. It's not like he forgot how to play hockey, he's just out of shape. esteef

I don't really think people are saying we need him, just that it couldn't hurt to give him a shot if he shows he's capable. If it doesn't work out, so be it, no loss. peace, esteef
