In all the shots I've seen of this moment (and in the live game footage) Bert looks really excited for Cleary and tells him something while hugging. I wonder if he was the one who told him to stall and then go backhand up high on Kipper. Remember, Cleary doesn't normally take shootout shots so he was in unfamiliar territory. Either way, Bert seems to be fitting in nicely with the team. Please resign Bert Kenny! esteef

It's all relative. You're never going to convince Calgary that the hit wasn't low. They NEED that to justify the stupidity of their players. He'll get his sooner or later. esteef

I think he meant he's fine with a Wing beating the snot out of Langkow face to face (unlike what Lebda got), not just cheap shotting him or running at Kipper. I agree, but I wouldn't be against a cheap shot on Langkow at all. Eye for an eye since the league is useless at controlling stuff like this. Your point is not lost norm... esteef

I'm not sure exactly if it has to be called or not to be reviewed, but my guess is no. It just puts too much pressure on the refs to catch EVERYTHING. The issue I have is the league puts out at the beginning of the year that they won't tolerate actions such as these at the end of a losing effort, and then some of the offenders get off scott free. Get them all or they just lose credibility to me. It just makes the league look like a bunch of turds in sweaters. esteef
