Exactly. Happens all the time no matter where you go. These people act like they've never been to a hockey game before.
-
I'm not particularly fond of it either. Every team's fans say the other team sucks, I don't care what name is on the sweater. That's what they're supposed to say. Nothing new there. What do they expect them to yell? "Red Wings Suck! Except for the Hall of Famers!?" It's neither here nor there, but we do own the Preds this year, that's a fact. esteef BTW, the OJ comment is a little over the line.
-
Yep. 6-2 against them for the year. We'll take it!
-
Won't get to see this one so keep 'er goin' boys! Maybe my spidey senses were a bit off and Sammy gets on the board tonight! Wings - 6 Stars - 0 Goals: Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, and Calder! Cheers! esteef

I bet if it was 2-1 Nashville you wouldn't have been sleeping. Nice backhanded compliment. The Wings played like any other team would play with a one goal lead, defensive and tight. esteef
-
Please. They had 2 more PPs than us with two of them in the last couple of minutes in the game. BTW, that goaltender interference was bulls*** on Franzen, Vokoun reached out to get him even though the puck wasn't even in the area. Nashville can suck it about the calls. esteef

C'mon PAIN TRAIN!!!!!!!!!! You beat me to it!
-
I think we can only tie you guys with a win tonight. But good luck nonetheless! esteef
-
Well I have to make them somewhat believable right? ((((esteef)))) Yep. That's because Nashville's in a weak division!

Sammy gets off the scheid! I CAN FEEL IT! Wings - 6 Preds - 0 Goals: Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, and Lids. Cheers! esteef

I can relate to that. I'm more the "way to go" crowd because even though Lilly has fought before, I still don't really consider him a "fighter". And with what happened to Fedoruk, a known fighter, still fresh in everyone's minds, he gets even more credit from me for jumping in there against a guy like Moen (who has already knocked a few guys silly this season). esteef

Blah Blah Blah. You're so much smarter than everyone aren't you? Everyone here knows that Lilja is not a fighter and that the Wings never fight, THAT'S why it's getting this much attention. Lilja standing up to a real fighter and actually landed some punches is commendable. Hell, even the players were joking around about it in the dressing room. Nothing too serious, just starting to stick up for each other and come together as a team at the right time (which is what everyone here is always bitching to see). That's all that's being said. Seeing this kind of thing before we go into the playoffs is great considering how we've fared in previous years. Yeah, and Lilly's third punch "GLANCED" Moen so hard it almost knocked his damn helmet off. Why do you think Moen tried to get him off balance? Because Lilly already gave him two good shots to the head. But we're all homers man... esteef

Not the greatest quality photo but... Lilja fight photo from Detroit Free Press

I'll share the Lilly Love! Lilja played almost 18 minutes with 3 hits, 2 blocked shots and a fighting major! BEAST! esteef

Lilja vs. Moen Enjoy! esteef

Exactly. Everyone else was watching this game tonight as the Wings and Ducks were the only teams scheduled. Time to show the league what they WON'T be getting away with in the playoffs. Sammy showed tonight why he will be in the lineup vs. Hudler or even Flipper. Yeah he's got a shot, yeah he's got experience, but he bangs the body and doesn't take any crap after the whistle, Babs loves players of that ilk. Nice job by Lilja as well with a couple of good hits even before the fight. I almost think he'd've been better just covering up after he fell. He got his couple of good punches in then fell, no sense giving the guy some free shots trying to get back up or humping his leg. Cheers! esteef

Sammy jumping in there as well! Nice work boys! Stop letting people cheap shot us and push us around.

LILJA'S FINALLY AWAKE!!!!!!!!!

Since you also needed help finding "anyone who would agree with what I'm saying", I'll help you out with the ridiculous comments too: "Get bent." "kindly STFU." "Words can't express how ******* stupid that comparison is." "Are you the biggest Homer in the world or did you defend Bertuzzi before he was a wing?" Again, just make your point, we're mature enough here to discuss it without that kind of BS. Your argument just loses credibility with statements such as those. esteef

I know I'm right. The confrontation between Robidas and Tootoo wouldn't have been as casual as you make it in your ridiculous example above, but there would've been some pushing and shoving and maybe, if Tootoo wasn't such a cheap little *****, the gloves would've been dropped. But think whatever you want... I'm not upset at all, see I can discuss issues with people who differ in opinion without lacing my comments with personal comments and jabs at people, unlike you. As Gordie said above, Bert's punch was cheap, there's no denying that, and no one here is saying that it's not. (And yes I defended him even when he was still a Canuck). I really don't have a problem with Tootoo other than the cheap s*** he gets away with, until now of course. esteef

There you go, trying to apply logic again...now you've thrown him!
-
I "highly doubt" you're actually reading the responses in this thread then.
-
See, you're changing your story already. I thought you said Bert punched him "in the back of the head". Now it's the temple? Temple's not in the back of the head, so you're backing off your initial comments already. Bert challenged Moore that whole game, and immediately before Moore skated away like a puss and all this went down. So stop with this Moore had no idea he was coming bulls***. Robidas was cruising in to see what the hell was going on, hardly "charging full speed". Funny how selectively you use adjectives to bolster your story. Tootoo wouldn't even have the sack to challenge somebody, as we've seen... esteef
