Cleary gets a tipped garbage goal on a PP and suddenly he's awesome? NOT! Tatar looks like a 2nd liner, Cleary doesn't. Tatar scored and played well even strength all night. Cleary had a better than usual game but he gets the majority of his chances because of Dats. Hell even Franzen can stand in front of the net. esteef

I ain't buying this play Pavs with sucky linemates to make him better crap. Pavs with Tatar would be great, even defensively. The kid has hands and speed, Cleary has neither. esteef

Big E didn't have Dorsett tied up or anything and they barely had gotten the gloves off when Toots stepped in. Tootoo did his job in not letting D-bag Dorsett take a good player off the ice for 5 minutes. Message to Dorsett, when you drop your gloves be ready to fight. Win and props to Tootoo. As far as his play as a fourth liner Tootoo has been great. esteef

Tatar doesn't need to play in the corners because he'd be lighting it up with Dats in open ice. Tatar was noticeably better on the PP tonight than Cleary. Judging what Tatar can't do without him even getting a chance is retarded. And Cleary HAS to "win puck battles in the corner" because he can't hang onto it like a skilled Tatar could. Cleary should be down on the bottom lines where muck-work is more important. esteef

Exactly. Tatar's linemates couldn't keep up with him and Datsyuk's couldn't even execute a give and go properly. Cleary actually had no idea the pass might come back to him multiple times tonight. Mursak is fast but was frequently knocked off the puck and peeled away from contact all night. Tatar moving up with Datsyuk would be a minor tweak that would really pay dividends. Datsyuk's line shouldn't be digging the puck out of the corners all night. esteef
