So he's anti-enforcer, so what? esteef

Your avatar is hilarious! esteef

Agree. I like the (healthy) lineup but still think we could benefit from a "playoff Drake" or a "regular season Prust". esteef

Again, it's not that the Isles didn't need a goaltender, it's that they didn't need Nabokov. It's clear what he was trying to do whether it was with Detroit or another contender. Snow scooping him up is legal but still douchebaggish. Continuing this further only adds to it. esteef

1. Fighting and winning are not mutually exclusive. 2. Having a fighter(s) does deter some cheap s***, though not all. esteef

Delicious! esteef

Right? I think he's just using the "time to get ready" now to scare potential claimers away should he go back on waivers. It ain't over yet! esteef
-
I like the "need time to get ready" angle. He's still hoping Snow will waive him and teams will let him go through waivers. Stick to your guns Nabby! esteef
-
He can blame the league for their stupid waiver rule. Yay NHL! esteef
-
Exactly. The rule f***ed everyone. The signing team is pissed cause they didn't get their player, The player is pissed cause he's claimed by a bottom dweller, and the bottom dweller is pissed cause he shockingly doesn't want to report. It's a lose-lose-lose! Nice job NHL! esteef

Nabby just texted me and said the Islses will waive him. esteef
-
****** - baggery. esteef

It's not that the Islanders don't need a goaltender, it's the Islanders don't need Nabokov. It's clear what he was trying to do in accepting a low offer to a playoff bound team. A bottom feeder claiming him is total douchebaggery. esteef
-
So if the Isles suspend him, does he still take up a roster spot? esteef
-
All this is illustrating how dumb that waiver rule is. Players are just flat out denying to abide by it. Must be cause it's so "fair". esteef
-
Or does he? esteef
-
f***in Skille! He's the ******* who headhunted Datsyuk before. Abby you're up! esteef
-
Nabby just texted me and said he ain't playing for the Isles. esteef
-
Yes, but those playoff bound NHL teams would still have to have money/cap space to buy those expensive KHL star players wouldn't they? esteef
-
Good for you. esteef
-
Nice try, read my last sentence, and yes I would is your answer. esteef
-
I know, but that is supposed to be the intent of rules correct? Fairness, parity? Every team was able to make a deal with Nabby and didn't. Now that Detroit got something done other teams can swoop in and take him, and not just other teams, ALL other teams. Again, if Detroit already had him before he went to europe I can see where it might be construed as they were "hiding" him, but that's not the case here. Just doesn't seem right, and not just because I'm a Wings fan either. esteef
-
Irrelevant. So Detroit works out a good deal and now every gets a crack at "our" deal? How is that fair? esteef
-
Agree. We didn't try to hide him in europe, he was never ours. So why should we have to expose him to waivers? He was sitting in the KHL and no one wanted him. esteef
