Drake brought intensity every game and simply destroyed the opposition with his hitting. But he only had 1 goal and 3 assists so it doesn't surprise me that the impact he had on the ice is diminished by some on this board. esteef

Downey brought something to the team that Ritola (or anyone else in GR) did not. That's why he was called up over others and played fifty some odd games. Simply stating he didn't score goals therefore he's useless is idiotic. esteef

This has nothing to do with evaluating the kids, (cause that's what GR is for), and everything to do with you not liking enforcers. Plain and simple. The thing that makes this even worse is that the knee-on-knee rule is one of the ones the league has specifically said they are going to strictly enforce this year, along with the throat slashing type gestures as demonstrated by a quick suspension of Boynton. None of the media outlets even had that "infraction" on their radar until the suspension happened. EVERY media outlet is reporting the Orpik cheapshot yet we hear nothing from the league about it. Not even that they are looking into it or anything.
