Anyone with an update regarding Abby? Regarding or surplus of Forward here's a few things I could see. Waive Emmerton (I think that is certain to happen) Try to trade or Waive Mursak for some Defensive Debt. Send Brunner down to GR. Though it wouldn't shock me to see a trade with someone out of our Bottom 6 (excluding Helm) being traded in exchange for some Defensive Depth.

Luongo hands down. One of the biggest chokers in the league. If he was in a smaller market I think he'd do okay but imo Vancouver is too mcuh for him. If you exclude Luongo I'd have to pick either the Sedin Twins or Dany Heatley.

My guess is that he'll be put on Waivers come the end of training camp and if not claimed he'll go back to GR.

Favorite is Stevie Y. MVP? No one because there were so many players that came thru in clutch situations e.g. Hasek, Yzerman, Lidstrom, McCarty, Homer, Olausson Hull etc.

I am going to be honest with all of you. I think as the season progresses I really think were going to like this guy. He seems like a decent hockey player and has the grit we need. While yes he has been a d-bag in the past I am sure we have all been like that at one time or another.

I have mixed feelings on this one while we do need another D-man we don't need someone with his salary.

I am going to hold off on my predictions until the seasons actually starts because each of these teams still could make a few moves that could help or hurt them. But seriously Detroit yes they got slightly worse but so did most everyone else in the division.

I don't think Tootoo was a bad signing. Yes I know he had some "issues" but I think a new environment will do wonders for him. He brings the toughness we need.

What I think will end up happening is that once Luongo is traded (I think Chicago or Toronto) I could see a market emerging for Thomas.

You could do a whole movie on the Wings vs. Avs rivalry from 95-02 or so.

I'll pass on us signing Semin. We have a surplus of Forwards and let Nyquist get some top 2 line minutes IMO.

Frank, What I meant by him overrated is he's not worth the money he is being paid. I should have phrased that post a little better while he is a good player I don't think he's worth the money he is getting. I do think Parise is an excellent player but not worth the $12+ Million a year he is getting paid. No one is worth that much IMO including Crybaby Crosby. Even if Chicago gets a better Goalie in Luongo IMO they still have a few holes, with Nashville when you have Hal Gill as your #1 D-Man you have a hole or two (Then again we shouldn't be talking.) I do agree about Weber's concussion issues and I think it will come back to bite Philadelphia in the ***.

Okay here's my spin. I don't think that were really losing our luster. Yes we've had a few bumps along the road but in the case of Suter it was the fact that he wanted to be closer to home that led him to signing with the Wild. I really think if the Wild weren't interested he'd be a Wing. Parise is overrated IMO. There's no way in hell that Nashville would have traded Weber to us without at least Smith, Nyquist, Flip and a couple of draft picks. Helm will be back, Conklin is gone, Hudler is gone. Do I like this ""even if we do nothing, we're fine" attitude?" NO! I don't we still have some things to work on and it is Holland's duty to look at everything possible including a Yandle or Bobby Ryan trade. I think were good for a #5 or #6 in the West. Chicago hasn't done much, Nashville is getting worse, Minnesota will continue to be so-so.

Most of them when you get a guy like Weber as a RFA most teams would "Go For Broke" to try and get them. I would have like to have seen Kenny send an offer sheet.
