I played in high school, then I started drinking and I'm 40 pounds heavier and I'm scared to see how i'd do in a pickup game now.

It'll be sad if he never makes it to the NHL, he looked like a world-beater before his accident. But to go into perspective, he's playing a high level of hockey after an accident in which he could have possibly died.

Heh, when I first heard of the trade, I thought of people complaining of the wings not defending teammates, and Bert's incident with Steve Moore. A co-worker of mine jokingly said 'Now if you take liberties with the wings, we'll end your career!' I also did not intend to disrespect Moore.

AL Central will be a beast. Defending division champions Minnesota Twins, recent world series winner Chicago White Sox, the Indians have talent and defending al champions Detroit Tigers. Hopefully the Tigers will be able to hold on and finish first this time. Imagine last years powerful hitting team and add a veteran big bat in Sheffield. A combination of young studs and gritty veteran pitchers will once again fusterate opponents. Then for the future you add top prospects Maybin and Andrew Miller. I am looking forward tot his year as well as years to come.

I was in 6th grade admittaly I didn't know much about them except for the fact that in elementary school our spanish teacher was a wings nuts and our principal would always say 'go dead wings!' around her. I watched the clinching game with my dad , it was pretty cool. I saw my dad freak for the first time watching sports after Darren scored that goal. That win spawned a short hockey career and my lifelong love for the game. Oh and I'm Brian lol.

Next week will have a great game as number 2 Michigan will go into columbus to take on number 1 Ohio State. Being a homer I'm going to take Michigan. I think Michigan's defense has been lights out all season long, as Woodley and Harris have stepped up big time for their senior seasons. Ohio State has many weapons but I dont think they've faced a defense as good as Michigans. I know Michigan is NOT going to completely stop Ohio State but maybe they can force some key outs and if we can do that, it's just a question of ball controll. If Hart has the game of his life and Henne and Manningham rediscover their chemistry we'll be able to run the clock down and keep Troy and Ted off the field. I'm predicting Michigan 28 Ohio State 21.

The Detroit Tigers have been looking very good this year. Currently they hold a 3.5 lead on the wild card to the Ynakees and I'm hoping they can continue. Bonderman and Verlander look like studs, we got Kenny Rodgers to be the steady verteran, and Mike Maroth is looking like the next Gred Maddux. Offensivley, we've been awesome alibet Chris Shelton has cooled down. At this point of the season, I don't know if we can overcome the White Sox for the division but I like our chances with the wild card.

Alright, I know ya'll were hoping for Leinhart but it would be a dumb pick for various reasons and here's why. Signing a QB in the top ten of the draft would've cost a lot of money, and we currently have 4 QBs under contract that I'm aware of. I know your probably saying, 'well that's our biggest need', but there's a reason that were paying our offensive coordinator 2 million a year. He's the mack daddy of turning average QB's into stars/very good QB's....Trent Green, Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger. Kitna and McCown are very good prospects at becoming very good QBs for the lions, McCown did decent in ARIZONA, and Kitna was what, 37 tds and 11ints when he was the starter at Cincinati? I can't confirm those numbers but the point is he knows what he is doing, and in Martz offensive system he could excel. Also, developing a rookie QB will take years and I don't think we as fans have the patience for that. With the talent we have right now, we should be riping as team to be a contender. We just need a QB with a level head that understands system, and I think Kitna is that. I think Ernie Sims will turn out to be a very good LB, something that we are in dire need of. I understand you guys though, that we need a young stud at QB to carry us to the playoffs for years, but I think we are set with Kitna and McCown. I am just looking at this with the perspective that we need to win NOW, lions fans are the most loyal of all the NFL but there is a limit to everything. This is a drunk post but I hope you guys can understand what I'm saying. Opinions?

Year after year, the Detroit Lions f#$# everything up. We got a coach who calls screen plays on 3rd and long. Our number two pick, Charles Rodgers dosen't give a damn. I laugh at his comments during his college days when he was like 'i'm going to the nfl for my kid'. Obviously he is literally doing that, just collecting the paycheck. What kind of f-ing crap was he pulling at practice? Get the hell off the team so we can use your money on WR"s who give a damn, like Scotty Vines. Go away and smoke your drugs. What kind of crap is Roy Williams pulling by arguing with Mariucci. We got a mini T.O on our hands. It's sad when our best player is Scotty Vines. I applaud his effort, but we are completley screwed if he is providing our best offensive threat. I think it's time for a completle makeover, from Matt Millen to the coach, to our offensive players. Get some other players while they MIGHT be worth a damn.

Don't know what to say, don't know what to say....well my friend is leaving to Iraq in july for the marines as a explosive weapons disarmer in a hot zone. He is staying there for a year, and I don't know it sounds like suicide but I hope I am wrong.
