Im really happy with certain aspects of the team and very disappointed. Mrazek and D-Lark are fk'n amazing. Larkin will be the next Captain. Mrazek shows just how well he performs vs Howard and its amazingly impressive. Better yet, he is still very young and hasn't hit his peak. Disappointment by a large margin is our shots on net. Remember when we easily doubled up our opponents in that area and if we were even tied for SOG, we were having a bad night and probably going to lose that game. Now we are lucky to tally 25 on. The other negative although its not disappointment, but the inevitable, is D showing his age and Kronner getting pretty soft from his peak due to the same thing. I totally expect to make the playoffs again and not by the skin of Octopi teeth either. I don't think we are a contender but I cant complain with the performance we are seeing from a team with very young or old players on the team. Blash has change the face of the game, but I think some of his strategies are easily beat by more experienced coaches. He too will improve and I totally expect to see us trully contending in the next few years.

Im not so sure. His production hit the skids immediately after his monster contract was completed. He went into preservation mode in order to grab up all the front loaded cash and considering his base pay drops after this year to 3.5 and then to a mil, hes probably milking it until he can retire.

Id like to see a Tatar, Helm, Jurco 3rd line just for the speed. I dunno how it would pan out, but Helm being able to bust through the neutral zone and letting the finesse kids do their thing is sorta like D and Z with Abbey just twice as fast and maybe not quite as skilled.

Helm isn't gonna be out skated by Ferraro and Ferraro sure as hell isn't gonna outplay Derren. Helmer gets the nod on the 3rd line.

Oh hell yes. The team has a pop in their step that I haven't seen in years. Toronto looks EXACTLY like we did last year and we are looking like a brand new team. I dunno if its Blash or if its just the amount of youth on the team, but we are moving and we are making plays. Before these same guys looked like they were skating through mud and playing defensive hockey with spurts of life. I love the look of this team, we are gonna do quite well this year.

What I would've given to see that go down. Im hoping the whole squad was dressed and waiting on the red line when Ho-***** walked in. Also hoping Capuano was out there too and said, "get the f*** out of here". To see Ho-sungs face would've been priceless.

Its called but hurt. If you play the guy with the puck and he cant get through the NZ, its not automatically Xference. Ill give that sports writer the benefit of the doubt, he obviously doesnt understand how that game is played.

The human element is what allows for biased officiating. Consistancy is the key and if every time a SOG was even thought to be stopped by the goalie and the whistle was blown immediately, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Thats not how the game went down and it was especially egregious as this was a scoring chance and not just an easy stop with an open lane.

How about not blowing the whistle 2 microseconds after it hit him? Quick whistles go to the refs favored team, watch enough games and you'll see a pattern.

Last night, they were showed a pretty cool photo of everyone that will be playing in the alumni game. My Dad perked up at the sight of it and Im hoping I may be able to get one for a Christmas gift. Anyone know where I can search this out? I checked Shop NHL and the Auctions ect and couldnt find it. Any help?

No its a picture with a black backround and each player that will be in the alumi game on it dressed and posing. I think it is going to be limited edition and will be signed. I want to see if I can justify the potential cost of a signed photo of the cream of the Red Wings crop from the last 40 years.
