Franzen had one stretch this season where he was in beast mode, right when we had a lot of injuries and he stepped up. Apparently you need to fire him up every week or he gets bored or something...

So, CSN Chicago showed a play where puck trickled into Hawk's net and Crawford grabbed it and brought it back. They didn't make a comment on it, what happened? Was it a goal that nobody saw and Blues' got screwed?

I agree with what others have said in thread, until its not considered just a matching penalty and only the "diver" goes off the ice, nothing will change. I ***** endlessly about this almost every time we played the Sharks in the playoffs.

I heard a quote from Hitchcock yesterday on the radio. He said the Blues weren't going to try to intimidate or go after the Hawks. That teams have been trying to do it for 5 years and Hawks aren't going to be intimidated. I believe this is code for the exact opposite. I think Blues are going to make this series a repeat of last year's slugfest with the Kings. It hopefully goes 7 with some heavy bruises left on the Hawks. I am sick of Bickell and Shaw's after whistle antics in the playoffs that get no calls, I hope they get clobbered.

I'm worried. I saw some big doofus in the STL game, maybe number 75 or 74 (reaves or oshii?) take Datsyuk down on the near boards on neutral ice and the refs just watched it happen. It was basically a tackle. With Dats missing his extra step, I think he is really susceptible to a brutal hit by Boston guys and we will get no recompense from it, not even a PP probably.

I have to agree with the play Dats thing, not sure I have opinion on others. Dats just looks a little slow out there still, I am sure he wanted to help the team really bad make sure they got in, but seems like he is still afraid to push because of the injury.

Can we hope to get some more penalties now against teams who play against us that he refused to punish in the past to try and maintain he had neutral bias? You know, small things like flying elbows to the head after the whistle, heads smashed into the glass after the whistle, etc?

When he probably would have had the top D pairing on the top team in the league (and 2nd lowest GA right now) and was probably going to shadow him no matter what line he was on with the home team last change? lulz... Wow, guy doesn't hit puck at all and puts stick between Jurco's legs. If Jurco falls, he gets call easily... however we actually have class on our team and don't dive.

LOL, I would say that only happens to us and other teams never get hit by tired bug, but I watched Hawks play Ottawa last night and they looked sickening. Was nice to see Hawk's team get skated circles around by a more rested and hungry Ottawa team.
