That's because in Chicago, Q and company kept saying that they thought they played well in 3 and 4 and just got tough breaks, basically (posts, penalties, etc) as the only reason they lost. They are so delusional and full of themselves, its sickening. You lose a playoff game you don't say you played well, you say you will play harder next game. Its no surprise their fans are ignorant and full of s*** half the time.

Couple people on radio talking about how Q did better with matchups since they were the home team. Well, obviously. It only took 3 games of this series for Babs to school Q on how to handle line matchups. Its like either the fans are too dumb to realize its part of the strategy of a game or Q and his team were so arrogant at the start of the series that they could just roll their 4 lines one after the other ignoring matchups because they think they are that good. Hawks/Q got a free coaching lesson from Babs though. I'd also like to point out that last ngiht the 4th elbow of the series from the Hawks targetting a Wings head (not even counting cross checks to the head). Still not a peep out of the league office. Apparently only if its a shoulder during a check is the league going to make it a point to stop targetting the head, if its flying elbow wrestling moves or using your hand to smash a head into the glass, its ok and sometimes not even called a penalty. Getting sick of hypocritical NHL. Uses bonecrunching hits and fights in commercials to market the league while suspending certain players they want but not all... get consistent and stop talking out of the side of your mouths.

I guess since this happened I have seen at least one dive called unsportsmanlike, however, even though he got called for embellishment, the first guy still got a penalty. So, where is the disadvantage to the guy diving? None. He either gets matching minors or a PP. Win/win. If a guy gets called for embellishment it should be a no-brainer logic that only one guy goes to the box and its not the person who initiated the check. Can't ever count on the NHL league office or refs to be logical though. PS - I don't mind the thread necro if the topic is still relevant.

Well, Abby did for Dats and got a matching penalty instead of the other guy getting double minor for poking at Dats AFTER he just had tripped him.

So, I am not sure if I am interpreting this wrong but Q and they Hawks just keep saying they felt they are playing fine the last two games. Whether that is true or not, shouldn't you just say you will make some adjustments and play harder in next games? I feel like them acting like they are playing fine and the same as when they were good in game 1 or the regular season they are basically just copping out and acting like they are unlucky, refs are bad, and none of the getting out worked by the Wings is their fault. Maybe its just an extension of their arrogance this whole time... I just want to keep reminding Hawk's fans that it wasn't a 24 game win streak they had... it was a 24 game, we didn't lose streak. Two hugely different things and shootout victories aren't really that big of a deal, they are circus shows.

I just love seeing how mature the Wings look compared to the Hawks whining to the refs. Zetter always looks so calm and composed.

I know it was bigger in 3 and 4, but he didn't do too bad getting on the ice against him even in game 2 without having last change. He'd pop off bench asap, of course, it was more of a surprise that game and Q can't make changes on the fly very well. Then 3 and 4, Q had to just take it... we'll see if he has an answer for game 5. I guess this past game he tricked Babs once according to the in game interview with Bickell and Bab's said he thought their 3rd line was out there, hah.

Totally agree however I was thinking today I wish you heard Andersson's name more on some scoring, but not everyone on the line can get chances like Nyquist and Brunner... someone has to set them up and be the backcheck safety valve.
