    Hey Hawks fans....

I'd respect them more if they brought it up as an inconsistency of the refs when it followed a goal that should have been whistled dead before by a no call penalty. But, they are only acting like the refs have only been screwing them. Also, the bitching about us roughing them up seems to fall flat too considering Bickell and Shaw have been hitting our guys in the head since game 1.

Red Wings don't belong in the same rink as the Hawks?

Definitely that is all I am pointing out and analyzing the last two wins as reason for that, so I hope nobody was pointing at me for being overconfident. I also get the rare glimpse at the enemy fan's mindset as they start laying blame for the losses.

Dan McNeil on the Score 670 Now!

Listening, he is being pretty non-meatballish by pointing blame at the Hawks' play and gooning it up. Hasn't bitched about the no goal yet. And laughing off people blaming him for the losses for his article. He is being actually smart about this.

Any tips on ways to tolerate the NBC media?

I am just sick of Edzo on his biased analysis. Franzen gets boarded and the talk isn't about whether it was a penalty it is about whether the refs should have whistled puck dead for an injuried player, and we get a quoted rule about if attacking team has puck, to not blow whistle. Um, first of all, it was a penalty, that demands a whistle when offending team touches puck and isn't there examples where even if attacking team has puck, there are sometimes still whistles for injuries if the puck isn't in the offensive end (they had to take the puck all way up ice after injury). Second the cross check explanation when he says it wasn't a cross check because Hawks stick rides up guys jersey, so it was just a push not a cross check? WTF?

Red Wings don't belong in the same rink as the Hawks?

So far a Hawks caller today had the gall to call Dats' laser beam over Crawford's right shoulder a soft goal. And they want Crawford out, hahaha... Pasha is only one of the top players in the league. Lot of talk about the interference call, which I probably agree with however I also believe it was a deserved make up call for the no call on Franzen boarding. They had Cotsonika from yahoo on (who apparently covered Detroit before?) and he said it was a bad call off for a goal however he had the smarts in the very next breath to say there were lots of bad calls including the no call on Franzen which if it was a penalty would have not allowed Kane to score. They think the no goal broke their momentum, but without Kane goal to break the shutout, they might not have had that momentum. That is my Chicago radio report so far today... waiting on McNeil.
  6. Yeah, I have to stop reading the HFBoards and actually read logical analysis. They are delusional and emotional over there, much like we would be if we lost.
  7. They should NOT be talking about the refs, they have been the beneficiaries of more non-calls than Detroit in this series. In my opinion, there have already been about 3 penalties that should have been 5 minute majors by them and suspensions from Banahan in this series. Two Shaw elbows to the head and a cross check to the back of the head.
  8. I just can't stand them complaining about the refs when they are still getting more power plays than their opponent (not counting them thugging it up at the end, but during regular play). And there are a ton of no calls on the Hawks already.

Red Wings don't belong in the same rink as the Hawks?

He better freakin' show up for work tomorrow so I can hear his excuses.
  10. I also love how Hawk's fans think their PK is going to continue to get lucky and be 100% the rest of postseason. Even if it does, I'd love to knock them out of the playoffs with a perfect PK percent, probably be one of the first times in history that has happened too, they can set another record.
  11. Wow, resisting making an account on HFBoards, now they are bitching about the singing and octopi being thrown on the ice. Which I am actually annoyed with because if they weren't dumb Hawk's fans, they'd realize the stoppage of play actually helps their stars get a breather when they are triple shifting. But hey, they just learned about the game of hockey in 2010, so gotta give them a break.
  12. So, did CBC show the replay of Cleary losing his stick on that breakaway? NBC didn't and I want to make sure there was no shenanigans. Also, the goal being waved off seems like a huge make up call by the refs for letting Kane walk down the ice with an injured guy. So many missed cross checks and boarding calls though... refs need to wake up to the Hawk's thuggery.
  13. So Edzo defines a cross check by the Hawk's as a push with two hands and a stick into a guys back that rides up his shirt is legal? I am sure it was a cross check if it was a Wing doing it to a Squawk.
  14. Exactly what I am talking about, not to mention his flying elbow on an already boarded player in game 1. Shanahan needs to address that s***.
  15. Toews has some skills that Pasha doesn't, like bitching about getting knocked around when he is hovering in front of the net.
  16. Back from watching 1st period... Shaw needs to get a talking to by league office... another elbow to someone's head.

Red Wings don't belong in the same rink as the Hawks?

Seems the theme on the Score radio today in Chicago is that even though Hawks lost one game don't get worked up (which makes sense, we all know that) however they keep harping on usually in a 7 game series the better team always wins and not to get worried. Um, if that is almost always the case, then how come lower seeds beat higher seeds in 7 game playoff series? Idiots.

ECSF : (7) Ottawa Senators vs (1) Pittsburgh Penguins

The goal horn at end of the game on the overtime winner was loud and long...

sigh, McNeil took day off today. I was really looking forward to listening to him on the radio.

    Delay of game penalty

Well, I was just thinking on the PK, it would seem a little cheap to just glass it because to ice it you still sometimes have to wing it past some defenders at the blue line. If its just skied over the glass, the defenders get no chance to try to keep it in not to mention you can just glass it over any part of the ice you want, back, sides, 3/4's, etc...

    TSN Feature on Kronwall

The Burns guy was missing pretty badly or just barely nicking people it seemed and his butt must be softer cause the hits never had the same Kronwall effect, Haha. Yeah, didn't mean to derail that badly, thanks for the Kronwall video.

    TSN Feature on Kronwall

Anyone see the Kings-Sharks game last night and one of the players was trying to butt check guys all over the place (sometimes missing) and the announcers pointed it out? Is this Kronwallian influence? Although his end up being more of a 3/4 ass shot.

    Delay of game penalty

I do agree about making them have to assume what a player was thinking (same as with some of these body checks with intent to injure)... I couldn't remember if Pierre brought up how it was just icing in AHL and it should be that in NHL too. But if they won't bring that rule up then lesser of two evils of always having it be a PP is let refs choose PP or icing... but refs need clearcut rules, because they apparently suck at most other judgement calls, so I think it should just be auto icing. Although, I just thought of something while typing this, On the PK, would it be too easy to flip over boards and get the icing you want when sometimes you can't get a true icing? Would you suspend the icing rule for PK?
  24. Can't league office fine Toews for officiating criticism?

    Delay of game penalty

Didn't Eddie O disagree with Pierre when he suggested that the refs make judgment call? Oh, that's right, because it has been called on the Wings like 3 times vs the Hawks this year (one PP goal after such a penalty allowing them to take us to OT). I am sure the first time it gets called on the Hawks his opinion will mirror Pierre's. Or maybe it was Emrick, shrug
