GDT WCQF Game 1 GDT : Red Wings 1, at Ducks 3. (Anaheim leads, 1-0)

On Hawks pregame Homer Eddie actually said he didn't think Hawks would make it out of the west, too tough... I think he is using reverse psychology, he might be stealing some of forum members mojo style. -
I have seen two penalties by Hawks not get called so far. On one it was a trip followed by a boarding all in one play...

I usually don't shave during playoff time however all I end up with is wisps of hair that a cat could lick off.

I am really rooting for a Hawks loss in game 1 just so the radio freaks and bandwagon fans can go crazy tomorrow like ants after you dump water on their anthill. (I am an Illinois resident so I have to listen to Hawks crap on radio all day)

I would rather have Hiller than Fasth. Seems like Wings always run into lesser known goalies standing on their heads in playoffs against them because they really get motivated to beat the best(at least every playoff exit seems to be the case). I wouldn't mind losing if it is a good game and get out played, but when Detroit ends up losing because goalie makes 40+ saves every game, and Detroit out plays the rest of the team, it just sits in my craw all year. -
Since Columbus didn't make it, are the Wings the clear cut favorite for team with most momentum heading into the playoffs? I hope Chicago has zero momentum (considering they even rested their regulars the last game). I don't know much about the down to the wire playoff contenders from the East. Sure we can argue and debate that it is meaningless (and maybe it is because its always the low seeds fighting for their way in and the top seeds can coast), but there are always stories like the Kings from last year...

What?!? You got in trouble for cheering? Was it rowdy cheering with kids present or just enthusiasm for the visiting team?
-
Yeah. Of course, now i don't mind it... I don't remember hearing it so clearly before at other stadiums.

Haha, Yimmy hitting his posts making sure they stay his friends

Posting in an epic thread if this was our fellow forum member...hope everything went smoothly on the escape and/or getting out of the Texas clink.

Great to see him lead the team tonight on Lidstroms birthday honoring the captain by leading the team like the man deserving to get the C next. Especially after he has been getting some heat from the fanbase...

Woo!!!! I hate to have a complaint for such an awesome game and it isn't against the Wings, but what the hell was that pipe clinking sound every time the puck was at mid ice, kept confusing me that there was some crazy long range shot from center ice hitting a post.

Implosion.
-
Why Franzen? His move is to shoot it directly into goalie chest.
-
Any announcers who whine more? Why don't they bring up the missed call about 5 more times?
-
Gotta play by the rules Hawks... no extra men on ice.
-
Nice job, capitalize on turnovers... sit down Q... hated Quenneville ever since Colorado playoff series.
-
Yes, break their damn PK streak!
-
Why can't we score on Crawford? Guy is a scrub. (I am triple or nothing tonight betting with my Father on the game.. we are from Chicago but I am a Wings fan). Afraid I will be in the hole again as we go 0 and 4 against Squawks. If we do make playoffs doesn't bode well for getting past round 1 cause we will surely be 8th seed.

2 5's make a 10? Not always... sometimes.

Yeah my fault, I made an inflammatory post topic... I had just never heard of the term "original" being used for the next 6 teams... oh, and I don't like Gary.
