Kind of reminds me of Ozzie's struggles during the 2008-2009 season in which teh internetz speculation pointed to alcoholism. If the mental issues are true then I do feel sorry for him a little bit. At the same time, he's got the money and access to the best kind of help possible for these kinds of issues. Now, I'm assuming that the "best kind of help possible" is effective for him, which it may not be. It's a very tricky field of treatment and healing.

I'm totally in favor of Z for the Swede C. I'm just a little surprised because I thought the powers that be for Team Sweden would want someone like Henrik Sedin.

Alright Stevie, let's make a deal. I'd be willing to accept that you won't/can't play for the Alumni in this year's Winter Classic. It hurts, but I can accept that over time. But in exchange, once Ken Holland decides it's time, you have to become the Red Wings GM and Exec. Vice President and continue on the tradition of Red Wings playoff success. Cool? Seems fair to me.

I haven't been able to be on LGW as much as I used to because of my stupid grown up lifestyle so my gauge on this sort of thing isn't nearly as decent as it used to be. But in terms of who doesn't get the highest degree of appreciation as they should? I kind of feel like Kronwall has to be up there. Drew Miller has to be up there as well. If he provided what he already does, had 15-20 lbs more muscle, averaged 10-12 fights a year with a 60+ win percentage and didn't have the hair of a 65 year old (assuming a 65 year old has hair) then he'd probably be overrated by LGW.

Exactly. At the same time, he can of course do whatever he wants to do but I'd personally much rather have him as a goalie development coach/goalie-team liaison to eventually replace Jim Bedard. From the outside looking in it seems like Ozzie would be perfect for that role.
