So Crosby actually shook hands... Wow... -
Which team would piss you off the most if they won the cup?

So the top three teams that would piss us off the most if they won... won't. Nice. -
#8 Los Angeles Kings vs. #1 Vancouver Canucks

How is that not a part of Avalanche games? "He's so fat he covers up the entire goal." "Nah-unh, I just have a sweet hockey body." -
It's one of those couples where you don't mind that the funny guy got the pretty girl.

#7 San Jose Sharks vs. #2 St. Louis Blues

So I guess it's all about the mustache. Babs' hair no longer has its magic. And Todd... Doesn't really have a defining feature on his face/head. Maybe that's his problem. -
Magic fixes and pixie dust aren't in his repertoire, hehe.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality. -
Merge coming?

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run
Red Wings Addict replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
There should be poll options like Cleary, Bertuzzi, Hudler, Ericsson, etc, for our pathetic resident schtick people who say the same s*** over and over again about the same players. -
Nobody in particular. I do like watching the Blues a little but their fans that come on here are as moronic as any generic troll.
-
Anyone here have any thoughts on Chris Kelly from Boston? Not a top six winger but he's definitely a tweener guy who can be a jolt for your depth. I see him as a very good linemate with Helm.
-
Pretty much. It's pretty sad that I feel as if I have to "find a way" to enjoy the NHL product.
-
Hopefully. They say Lidstrom and Holmstrom are a package deal, which might have some truth to it. Draper and Maltby seemed to be a package deal too but they brought back Draper for one more year than Maltby.
-
Haha. Yuh-oh...
-
If they're not going to win the Stanley Cup then yeah a 1st round exit is probably up there. Players want to keep playing and Ilitch probably wants to make more money off playoff games but for fans it's probably more preferable in the long-term than a 2nd or perhaps 3rd round exit because then you can say, "Well we were close and bleh bleh bleh."

You wouldn't by any chance have that article that was released almost immediately after the finals were over in 2008 about how the writer really raised his eyebrows towards the end of Game 6? The main message was that something really smelled fishy. Lilja's stick slashed out of his hands, Pav getting tripped at center ice, etc.

Nice. -
Again... Admit it, I've trumped you.

Miller is tall but he doesn't provide as much of a physical impact on the ice for my liking. He works really hard and he definitely puts effort into his checks but they're far from halfway scary. I'm not looking for the next Dallas Drake from him but I want the opposing dmen to have a little something to worry about.
-
He's going to need to do a lot more than that. For the top six, ideally you want a shooter and a complimentary power forward/grinder to take care of the puck down low, basically a younger version of Bertuzzi's current job. For the bottom six, oh man, that thing needs a major overhaul. Keep Helm... I think that's pretty much it. Look for upgrades for everyone else. I guess it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world if they still had a healthy Eaves, a significantly improved Abdelkader, and perhaps Drew Miller. I'd also be open to using Mursak on the bottom six. I'm more concerned with speed than size when it comes to the bottom six. They really need to get faster and they really need to have more clutch abilities.
-
Don't forget Helm. My God... Again I really hope Holland doesn't believe that Helm's absence from the series will lead Holland to believe the team doesn't need major changes.
-
Nice. Although I guess in hindsight we did witness some major signs; the road record and very mediocre-ranking special teams as the big ones. Also their annoying habit of games that need extra time wasn't good.
-
If he cites luck as a major reason for no changes then I'll probably jump on the "Fire Holland!" bandwagon. I'm not quite there yet but I hear its wheels turning towards my stop.
-
They need major upgrades seemingly everywhere. Top six, bottom six, top and bottom dmen, backup goalie....
-
Now that it's all over I'm thinking that after what we all saw that Kenny HAS to make changes. No "Well we were neck and neck with them the whole way and bleh bleh bleh."
