His family still lives in San Jose. I'm sure he'd like to play for San Jose if we're only talking about travel from home to work and ignore the fact that the Sharks are idiots. But Stuart is still a top four defenseman and I don't think San Jose has room for him in their top-four. If SJ isn't much of an option then you got Anaheim and LA. Both places are 6 hours away. I know it sounds like a stupid question but how much of a difference does it make if he plays in Cali but is still 6 hours away from his home? It's not like he's going to make that trek every day. I imagine that he will live in his own place in LA or ANA.

I'd be excited to see him get called up. But they've also teased Tatar twice now, haha. He must have the AHL/NHL version of blue balls. They have a chance to tease him for a third time with Bert as a game-time decision.

See I figure that the Wings don't want to trade Kindl to another team and see him become another case like Quincey where perhaps they don't re-acquire him. At the same time, I don't know if it's such a good idea to keep Kindl or Smith as the #7 dman. Both should get consistent minutes. But I suppose at the end of the day the Wings would rather deal with that problem instead of having a dman that really sucks at the #7 spot. It's probably why I can't see the Wings trading Kindl.
