So Cleary's still adjusting with his knee. I can see why Babs doesn't want to break up the Helm line. Is it such a bad idea to put him on the 4th line? If it is then where else can you put him? It doesn't seem as if they're going to trade him. Babs just loves Cleary and Franzen. For now I wish they would just put the Zetterberg line back together for 5 on 5. Filppula-Zetterberg-Hudler Cleary-Franzen-Bertuzzi Yeah the Cleary-Franzen-Bertuzzi line can seem like sending s*** out there but at least the team will have two lines with good mojo. That is, Zetterberg's and Helm's.

It's only one game but I wonder if Ericsson will be his dman partner for the rest of the year. Did he play on the left side for the majority of the time? I can't recall.

I'm at least happy San Jose didn't break the streak. Yeah Vancouver is annoying but they didn't have like a 5 or 6 regular season game winning streak against the Wings. In all honestly, I always figured a team like the New York Islanders would break the streak.

I think Pav actually admitted in one of those PuckDaddy interviews that he admired Valeri Kharlamov a lot. He didn't say he was his favorite but it's the probably the closest you'll get to a real answer to that question.

Tuomo Ruutu is off the market. 4 year extension with the Canes for 4.75 cap hit. Ah well. I was curious to see how he'd fit in here. Some say he's overrated while other say he'd be a perfect fit. We'll never know.

Yeah I think I like Quincey on the right point instead of Ericsson. Ericsson likes to pass, Quincey at least has more of an instinct to shoot and has shown he can hit the net more often than Ericsson. Then again Ericsson doesn't really shoot that much. Quincey says that he played with Ericsson in GR but I don't particularly remember them playing on the same pairing myself. Then again, the lineup in GR is always changing.

Based on Pavel's overall philosophy in life, which is have fun with whatever you're doing, I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way to have fun with the whole process, as silly as that may sound.
