He's good for a laugh I guess. Like any reality TV show or something.

My hope is that the Wings have put that period behind them and come out with a clear mind and fresh energy for the 4rd. -

Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)
Red Wings Addict replied to Tim.D's topic in General
Hmm... Yeah I'm just a little concerned about the price. Of course, not Piche but rather the first round pick. Yeah he wasn't going to play for the Wings for five years but still. Just a little concerned though. I mean, the market these days seems to require overpayment. It was never really in doubt that Piche would never make it to the NHL. -
f*** that... I don't ever want Pav out of a game... But yeah, at least it's rather minor. I just wonder if 2 weeks really means 3 weeks with most of their estimation of recovery from injuries.

Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)

Kyle Quincey Plus: Good Skater, Speedy and Agile... Physical Player, Throws Hard Hits... Nice Shot... Handles Puck Well... Very Good Defensively... Will jump up into the play... Minus: Needs to Bulk Up... Inconsistent... Organizational Comments:"I think he played a huge factor for us the first 2/3rds of the season helping us with the transition of losing some of our veteran D., and being one of our go-to guys, and played in all situations. He plays solid D, physical, gritty, either side of the puck, and yet he can also add offense and play on your powerplay. He's a very well liked player, he's got a great future ahead of him, and I think he is just going to get better as he gets more confidence and more playing time." Griffins Head Coach Greg Ireland What GRC says: 2007-08: Quincey rebounded from a slow start to play his best stretch of hockey as a pro the second half. After a trip to Detroit, the physical blueliner tuned up his game, meshing his physical edge with some offensive mojo, missing since his rookie season. One of the biggest improvements in his game down the stretch was his consistency, in effort, intensity and results on the ice. Kyle is out of options, and is likely to snag the last defensive spot in Detroit next season. 2006-07: Whether from injuries or an inconsistent lineup, Kyle's game dropped a notch after the first of year. Inconsistency and defensive lapses marred some pretty good stretches of play for the physical defenseman. He still has the skills, but just doesn't seem to put them together every game. That being said he was one of the more effective blueliner's on the Griffins, and was recalled to Detroit at the end of the season where he scored his first NHL goal. 2005-06: Kyle was slow to recover from a concussion suffered around the New Year, but he recovered to play some pretty exciting hockey for a rookie blueliner. He had some ugly numbers in the playoffs, but his normal defensive partner (Lebda) may have been the cause for a large part of that. Quincey played beyond his experience most of the season and should pick it up another notch next season. Very true. It's tough for me now whenever I hear about Spezza because this video clip is what I associate with his voice. Once I saw it the first time, the name Spezza and my own cognitive schematic with that name revolutionized completely. It's just what he sounds like to me now, haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y4sU7-UM9s

Erik Karlsson on pace for 76 points. Still the runaway leader among dmen. What a talent.

Smartest meaning hockey sense. I can fathom Nick and Sid being comparable but I don't know if Pav is THAT much ahead of either of those two. I'm a little surprised that Jimmy made this list. Not Jimmy himself or his abilities but that other players regarded him in that way. Semin and Gerbe? Someone want to explain that to me? Now this is a funny result. No Dan O'Halloran? Brad Watson? Denis LaRue? Shocking. I've always had the perception that players complain a lot about the ice at JLA because the building is so old and whatever. Hmm... Nice.

Let's get this over with and yadda yadda yadda.
-
Hmm... There's kind of an unattractive logjam at forward as it is. I would hope that the Wings would trade a player in the bottom six.

Hmm... Xavier Ouelett... I really like him as a prospect. He's getting closer to blue chip status by the day. Then again he's still not a guaranteed NHL player. Tough call. -

For now. I hope his site survives. Is it because of all this SOPA and PIPA and FIFA business?
-
Yeah really. God has no puck skills whatsoever. I am slightly surprised by the Zetterberg votes. It has nothing to do with that collision from the CBJ game. In my view Z isn't afraid to get a little chippy and dirty with some hacks and whacks here and there. The two that bring that out of him the best I think are Kesler, Backes and maybe Crosby.
