Damn... Well, I guess I'd like for them to call up Tatar or Nyquist and have a 2nd line of Hudler-Filppula-Nyquist/Tatar. Either that or maybe move up Mursak to the 2nd line as Hudler-Filppula-Mursak and then call up Conner or Andersson for the 4th line. -

I'm not sure how Pittsburgh does it without their franchise player but they are very much in this group. Their performance last year was impressive to say the least. The system they have in place that allows for them to stay competitive without their biggest talents is something every team should try to steal from a little.

Will the Red Wings waive Conklin and send him to GR? Or will they send Joey back to GR and claim they want to "maintain their assets"? I'm not sure how long Joey has until he's no longer waiver-exempt or whatever. Isn't it a 30-day period or something like that?

Presidents Trophy? A nice little bonus. 1st seed? Definitely more important than the presidents trophy though I'm not sure how much it matters. All the teams are going to be a major pain in the ass.

Always nice. It's too bad they had to lose to Nashville though. They're closer to the Wings in the central points-wise than the Hawks.
