We all like to hear this...

Haha, 'maybe for you bro'. Don't taser me bro, haha. I'm not sure which breakaway move he's talking about. The Turco-Vokoun-Harding?

I think I just saw something at the bottom NBCSN tracker that said Morrow traded for Connoly? I couldn't see it particularly well.

--------------

EDIT: s*** nevermind. It's the Hawks who traded for Brendan Morrison. Sorry.
Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton. If you could rank the amount of pure hatred between any of the two teams and the team's fans what would it look like? Do Edmonton and Calgary hate each other more than, say, Ottawa and Toronto? Or do Vancouver and Toronto hate each other more than anybody? Obviously Winnipeg hasn't been in the hate game for a while now.

That too. I guess Yzerman wasn't good enough for him. -

He apparently was also more of an Avalanche fan even though he grew up in Michigan. A lot of that was because of Joe Sakic, but still. -

Pav... Is... Number One! Don’t matter if ya like it, herr take it, sit down and write it Now let me ask ya Pav What does it take to be number one Ovi is not a winner and Sid nobody remembers (all in good fun for the moment, don't paste a bunch of stupid stats for a pointless argument)
-
Geno and Pav both need to dominate the puck and the center of the ice imo if you want them at their absolute best. They both need to freewheel their own thing and they can't both play center. If this were Team Russia that we're talking about then it's different because the players are always much more flexible when it comes to a gold medal. An 82 game NHL season? Not so much. Hossa, well, we've seen that before. They're both great players for sure. At the same time, they just didn't have great chemistry imo for whatever reason. Kane? Definitely worth a trial look. At the same time, it's kind of like Malkin. If you're going to play next to Pav you simply won't get the puck as much. Kane is a guy that to me needs to hog the puck a little to play well.
-
As I wrote that comment I couldn't help but think to myself the old arguments about Sid/Malkin. "How can Sid be the best player in the league when he isn't even the best player on his own team?" and yadda yadda, haha.
-
What's weird though is that as I look at the other players on Team Chara, none of them really scream out, "Oh man! It'd be so awesome if Pavel could play with this guy on the same line for the Red Wings!" Or am I alone in that sentiment?
-
Now there's talk of Hart trophy for Pavel, which is legit. At the same time, if we consider Howard more of an MVP for the Red Wings then how can Pavel be a Hart trophy winner?
-
Another very respectable guy in the league.
-
Did Chara say that if Lidstrom were there that he would've picked Lidstrom first? I couldn't understand what he was saying at that point.

Not really. Everything you said was true and my sense is that many others see it this way as well.

Although looking at that lineup I'm not sure the dmen should expect much help from the forwards in their own zone. Except from of course the obvious suspects.
-
Not exactly sure where he would go assuming the Wings have any outside shot at landing him. However, he's definitely more ideal if you wanted to have him as a top-six/bottom-six tweener. Much better than Hudler in that regard. If he's on the bottom-six I'd cage him up and then let him loose on the ice as a wrecking ball like Dallas Drake. If he's on the top six then you have someone who can keep pucks down low and create space for Zetterberg and Filppula.

Chara's already tampering for a few years from now when Pav's contract is up.

Logan Couture is the last pick. A pretty boring last pick. It should've been a clown like Hartnell or "the fat kid" like Kessel.

I can't believe Pasha went first. The idea never even occurred to me. Oh, and yeah, where's Ovechkin?
