What about Boston a few years ago? That was pretty bad. Or that one Wings team that had a 3 game lead over the Leafs for the cup.
-
Well the best part about that incident was the interview after the period ended. They asked him what happened there with Semin and he just flashed a smile and said something to the effect of, "Oh, well, that's just me being aggressive." Yeah. He's just a good 'ol aggressive and passionate North American boy who cultivated his work ethic on the farms of who the hell cares. If he slewfoots someone then it's okay.

Oh Derek Meech... Kenny please stay away. I know he'd be a cheap option but no no no.

Also, where does this rank on the biggest sports fails of all time? It's gotta be up there. It couldn't have happened to a better guy. Sometimes bad things happen to good people but every now and again the universe allows for the opposite just to give you a little hope.

Ken Daniels: "Here comes Bertuzzi. In on goal... BIG STOP BY HASEK!!!" Mickey: "OHHH MYY!!!!"

Heh? -
Yeah... Delete.

I think the Tampa ownership will understand.

What if they had the shootouts so that the attempt wasn't dead until the goalie froze the puck? Ugh... It'd be like a dunk contest. Fail after fail after fail.

Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium Finalized

I never count out Pittsburgh no matter what. If Crosby doesn't come back and Malkin falters then I'm sure some secret society will ensure they get into the playoffs. From then on out they can do some damage with their experience. Plus I can't count out Ovechkin. I just can't. -
It was a 2nd and a 4th for Stuart I'm pretty sure.
-
My fear is that all the teams will kill themselves just to stay ahead of the game and then be worn out when the playoffs begin.

To be fair, when he was at his best, he was solid enough in those tasks. The problem is that he was only solid in those tasks for a total of games that barely supersede an 82 game season.

Vancouver, your sour grapes are showing

It should be Vancouver because they have a plethora of extremely likable and respectable players like Burrows, Lapierre, Kesler, and the Sedin Twins just to name a few. -

A little unprofessional but understandable. As soon as I saw Pav do the toe drag I thought Smith was done. He wasn't. He made a ridiculous and spectacular save. If it was my job to do homer commentary for the Yotes I definitely would've been tempted to say something like that. -
Nu-uh... As far as I'm concerned, it's still 2002, I'm still in high school and I have to cut the grass before my Dad gets home.

Pasha's rookie year.

Meh. Statistically any pick beyond the 3rd round isn't supposed to make the NHL.

Yeah we've seen them score on some solid moves. Nothing we haven't seen before though. It'd be nice if one of them would come up with a new move but they have bigger fish to fry. Pav's go to move is where he fakes hard to backhand and either shovels it in or quickly brings it back to the forehand. Sometimes he just flat out shoots it. If the moment is right, he'll try the move he did tonight. The Turco-Vokoun-Harding toe drag. He's also pulled off the Linus Omark. Hudler likes to shoot sometimes. Other than that we've only seen him do a fake to the forehand and then finish with the backhand and he's pretty solid with that move. Bert likes to go wide a lot. He can then pull off the spin o rama like he did tonight or just shoot it wherever he sees a hole. I like the one where he goes in REALLY, really slow and then stickhandles a storm at the crease. Zetterberg's main move is where he fakes the forehand and then finishes with the backhand. He's only pulled off the Nilsson-Forsberg move twice when it counts. Other than that he's scored some pretty awkward shootout goals. I think the newest move (as in, the move that's the newest to Wings fans) is the one where Bert goes in really slow. I hope one of them comes up with something fancy but like I said, they got bigger fish to fry. -

I honestly thought Bert would try the move where he skates in REALLY slow and then stickhandles a storm. -

Maybe they now know the Blues won and that'll give them a little more edge for the 4rd. In addition to the way the Wings sometimes only show up for the 4rd. -

Penalty on Z? I'm expecting the Zetterberg line to come through in the 4rd. They've been somewhat quiet tonight. -

Where the hell was the coverage to back up Lidstrom on that one? -

They're blocking everything. Wings gotta adjust.
