Actually it's Pav who is the 'notoriously' slow starter. It's ok, they are twins after all, hehe. I'm almost positive that I've heard Babs say that the past two years at least. I don't know the numbers exactly but I'm guessing Babs might mean it in more of a qualitative sense.

Is he still using his "I am not a clown - I am a hockey player" motivation? I kind of like that about him. He's already using critics as motivation. Except I think he says it more like a Datsyukian, "I'm not clown - I'm more hockey player."

Babs might be overestimating Jonny's fighting ability here but in that way I think he's trying to encourage him to do it more often.

He's just getting older. I'm struggling with it myself because he's my favorite and I'm used to seeing him play a certain way and that guy doesn't appear as often anymore. At the same time, like he said in that one Swedish interview, he's simply not 22 anymore (or whatever early 20 number he stated) and so he's got to find a different way to be effective while pacing himself for a looooooooong season. I'm still going to watch him closely and I'm sure he'll find a way to get those points.

Mursak won't return for a Hwile though. He's probably going to have the maximum conditioning stint in GR.

During the regular season it was a luxury. Not so sure about the playoffs though.

Well no it seems like Fil is still the one who has to skate and cover the center of the ice on ES. It's just that Franzen takes the faceoffs and then they quickly switch back again.

Probably. IIRC, he was somewhat of a journeyman in both the SEL and NHL.

So does Franzen take the faceoffs now or something? Seems like he takes the ES faceoffs and then Fil takes the PP faceoffs?
