Yzerman's daugther, Lidstrom's son, you know what to do. Or how about a goalie? Lidstrom's son and Ozzie's daughter. Do it! And Brett Lebda's kid, get out of here! You belong to the Ducks or Avs organization. Or maybe that new Abercrombie for kids with the rest of the wannabes.

What would be a good non-corporate arena name for Detroiters? Like I'm sure a lot of people would prefer Kid Rock Stadium over Amway or insert corporation name here. Although I suppose Ford Field isn't so bad. Cars, motor city, bla bla bla.

Haha yeah. But today we now know that it's really Stevie who can only provide the potential Y chromosome. So Stevie's wife, really, could have had his head ( ) off for that (Yikes!) but then she wouldn't get his awesome "All I ever want to do is play hockey" genes. Luckily, Lidstrom had all boys. Can you imagine the combination of Yzerman and Lidstrom genetics? It'd be like Brangelina but for hockey abilities instead of physical attractiveness. The kid is simply meant to make you forget all about Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby.

Well then you guys would just be like the Hawks fans that chant "Detroit Sucks!" in games when they don't even play Detroit; or even at their own championship parade when they didn't even face Detroit in the playoffs. Plus... Isn't "Some were born to sing the blues" supposed to be an indication that unlike the people who sometimes win and sometimes lose that some were born to just plain suck and lose all the time?

Apparently one of the better examples (he told me this earlier today) is when you're a guy who has trouble socializing with the womens and so you go see a therapist who is also a guy to help you with these problems and offer you advice. The therapy significantly helps and you're out there trying to meet some womens and you meet this "perfect girl," only she turns out to be the wife of your therapist. Everything has to be that directly connected in order for it to be "true" irony, apparently.
