Naw... Kane's still a blackhawk.
-
The Cincinnati Ducks were the AHL affiliate of the Red Wings from 1999-2002. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/display_affiliations_parent.php?tmi=5492 Babs was the coach of the Cincinnati Ducks from 00-01 to 01-02. Forest for the trees I guess.
-
Yeah but dude, he was an awesome player at the AHL level and everyone pretty much knows that the AHL and the NHL are the same. Williams is one of the best third line centers in the game.
-
So luck favors the prepared, eh? I got that line from The Incredibles.
-
Ken and Mickey version. Ducks announcers version. So YouTube now has three different versions of Z's first goal. Awesome. Well yeah I'm pretty sure that, as the coach of the Wings AHL affiliate at that time, he wanted and asked for a shot at coaching the Wings because they were transitioning out of the Bowman era. Kenny said no because Dave Lewis had earned the opportunity. During the Lewis era, however, Babs built up enough experience to show that he could coach at the NHL level. The rest they say is history.
-
Yup. Sounds like a reasonable idea but it's Bart f***in Lebderp.
-
You know, it would not surprise me. Unfortunately. Sigh.
-
Rats. I was hoping we could turn him. Ah well.
-
Swede streak since 1993 I believe.
-
Naw let them keep picking San Jose. The Wings won the cup last when a lot of the media picked San Jose. Then again I suppose they pick San Jose almost every year. Still, it takes a little pressure off Detroit and provides a tiny bit of motivation.
-
Well the fact that he's Russia or just plain Non-North American already puts him at a popularity disadvantage.
-
Even after re-signing Kronwall and Stuart etc.? And Lidstrom if he wants to come back.
-
Definitely a #1 defenseman. But I don't think of him as a Lidstrom replacement. However, he'd probably be the closest the Wings ever get to getting another Konstantinov.
-
Maybe so but I just don't think the Griffins have anyone else unless the Wings make an acquisition through the Griffins. Pare has played center plenty in his career and with Ilari Filppula gone I think he can do well as his replacement since they seem to have similar skills/weaknesses at the AHL level. I believe he played center when that McGrath-Pare-Lemieux was on fire a couple years ago. Plus it's probably not going to be Andersson and it's not or shouldn't be Johnson or Minard.

I know you all are going to love this one. Can you believe that's Pav as a keeeed? Hehe. I believe that's his daughter. BTW here's the link for where I got these pics: http://www.sovsport.ru/photo/gallery-item/4367

Nabokov plans to report to NYI's training camp

LOUD NOISES! -
True but for now I'd rather go with the projection that at least he'll be a 4th/3rd line tweener and at most a 3rd/2nd line tweener, which is what some thought he'll develop into or perhaps already is right now.
-
Is it really that hard to distinguish between Lidstrom and Lindstrom? The new contender against Lindstrom these days is Zetterburg. Remember Federov? That was a sneaky one.
-
So a 1st, Gustav Nyquist and Valtteri Filppula. Overpayment?
-
He'd be so awesome as a Red Wing. He'll need a new number though.

Good point.
