This looks like it's actually a new style of actual mask as well. Not the itech he's worn for years. Howard's masks are always too detailed for TV. A good mask is clearly recognizable on TV. I do like the chin though, with the wings coming off the sides.

I know some of you are interested in this stuff like me. Here's some pictures I have found so far of the new goalie equipment Conks and some of the other guys have been using in conditioning. Looks like Ty might be using Howie's old mask for now until he gets his, and trying out a few pairs of pads too. I do wanna see what Howie is gonna go with this year..

you guys can't say ozzie couldn't have bailed us out, because we wouldn't have necessarily even been down 3-2 if he was in net. it would change everything, in every series.

the problem with this logo is it is just way too "vectory" looking for me. even though it is simple there are so many tiny lines and strokes that it doesn't make for a very good logo, imo.

im hoping they do end up bulding it in the space behind the fox. it would be a perfect location, and add to the already very nice part of downtown detroit.
