there are some tickets avaliable right now on stubhub from season ticket holders but they are going for crazy money. going for around $180 a piece right now. you can try to get tickets when they become avaliable to the general public but i'm sure that they are will all be gone within a few minutes

yes lou put together the deal but kovalchuk signed off on it as well. the devils went through hoops to get this guy and he bails on them at the worst possible time. and like i mentioned earlier, he should have just stayed in russia after the lockout if he truly missed his family. 77 million figure is very misleading. how much of that is actually left after escrow and taxes. he's lucky if he gets even half that in his pocket when all said and done. he will make that up in the khl in no time. if i was other russian players trying to get to the nhl, i would be pissed at him right now. who is going to want to draft a russian when there's the very real possibility that they bail and go to the khl.

lou had a part in it, but it just shows how much kovie meant to their franchise. for him to bail on them now is a slap in the face to the devils kovie can hide behind the family excuse all he wants but imo this comes down to money. he will probably get 15-20 million a year tax free in the khl. he will easily surpass his nhl contract money in a few years. He shouldn't have signed such a long term contract if he had concerns about being close to his family he shouldn't have come back to the nhl at all if that was his attitude.

the issue i have with cleary coming back is that he is babcock's favoriter player, which means he will be getting top 6 minutes guaranteed. because of that, i really hope cleary is gone. I have no issue with holland not signing any big name ufa this year. the wings have one of the best prospect pools in the league, it's time to put it to good use

there is no way that he signs or even wants a 7 year contract. i would say 4 years is the max but i think it will be closer to 2 years

i'm sick of the quincy excuse. it's not quincy's fault that smith is having trouble making even the simplest of breakout passes. it's not quincy's fault that smith doesn't know how to cover guys in front of his own net. in fact i would say quincy has been surprisingly good in this series considering he has smith as a defense partner i'm not in the trade smith crowd yet, but people are blind if they don't see that smith is by far the wings worst defensman right now
