I disagree. I like that every game matters more but it's not enough games. The season would either be way too short which would mean players have a lot of time off and we saw what that can do if they aren't playing for too long. OR the games would be more spread out and it's difficult to build momentum or stay interested if there's only one game every week-weeks and a half. Also, a Stanley cup playoff run can be 21 games potentially, I hate that these playoffs could be almost half of what the season was. Last reason, completely selfish...I just want more hockey.

If we DIDN'T resign Pav I would consider Holland a failure and be beyond mad at the entire organization. I won't watch the Wings play AGAINST Pavel Datsyuk. Seeing him in another jersey, to me, would signify that any shred of the great team we have been is gone.

Everyone needs to have just a little more faith. They play "Don't stop believing" at the Joe, not "go ahead and lose all hope until we get ourselves into a more advantageous position in the standings" To be fair, I don't think Journey would have been as successful with that song but you know what I mean. It's not over until it's over. I'm gonna believe they'll make the playoffs until math tells me otherwise.

This seems like a really random time to bring up Tuzzi's lack of scoring. Maybe you didn't notice that he's been out with an injury?

I was torn on this game trying to decide who I'd rather. I decided that I'd rather be a little bit further from the blues than risk ANOTHER team coming for us.

It's very sad spying on other games. But it's sadder that you'd rather miss the playoffs.

I've defended Holland a lot around here lately but if he re-signs clearly I'm going to throw up before quietly climbing on the "fire ken" bandwagon.

I am definitely just as stressed as I am during the playoffs. These ARE elimination games...the team just doesn't seem to notice that.

Was this game Jimmy's fault? Yeaaaa, mostly it was. Does that mean he's (to quote another post) "horse****"? Nope. Howie has bailed the rest of that team out in a lot of games this season and tonight they failed to return the favor.

Glad I didn't force myself to cheer for Vancouver since it would apparently be for nothing. Edmonton is my favorite Canadian team so I watch them fairly often and I'm used to their silliness. All around, a bad night for Wings fans,
