I'm gonna give Edmonton a little credit on their announcers. I hate having to listen to games from the opposing point of view but it's not been half bad. Pretty fair (unlike Vancouver) and enthusiastic (unlike Calgary)

Any team in the playoffs has a chance to win the cup. I'm not saying I don't have concerns but unless we don't make the top 8, I'm not going to start having a panic show. I think it's a little bit sad that everyone here is already defeated...if the fans can't be bothered to have a little faith then I don't really think the team owes it to us to play any better than they are. Chin up people, it's not like we're the Blue Jackets.

I'd like to see the visor be grandfathered in but IMO things like Kevlar socks should just become mandatory for everyone. I see no reason not to considering they don't affect any part of a player's play (can't even argue vision like you could for visors). In a league that's always going on about player safety it seems ridiculous not to implement tiny changes like this that protect elite guys from crazy bad injuries.

I'm definitely not the kind of person to blame the refs for a loss (I'll leave that up to the Canucks fans) but in this instance I'm gonna make an exception and say that officiating was a key factor in the Kings win. Beyond mad that this game was the difference between 4th and 10th in the standings. And on a different but related topic, did anyone see LA's twitter account tonight. I'm all for the NHL social media accounts interacting and showing personality...unless that personality is a terrible, classless one.

Because I live in BC this is my favorite team to beat. Winning by 5 goals was the highlight of this season for me.

I don't have a problem with it, I just don't like it. I like watching guys like Datsyuk calmly skate away from an incredible goal like "yea, I can do that, no biggy" I don't mind little celebrations by players either but keeping it small and then skating over to celebrate with the team is the best way I think.

Oh I hope this is the start of a Franzen scoring streak! ....preferably one that lasts 40+ games
