I don't know if you've noticed this but when Babcock coaches other teams, they win. This leads me to believe that Babs is not the problem.

The most infuriating thing about this team is that we have players that can only be defended by stating that they aren't quite as terrible as other players on the team.

This is what bothers me most about the discipline in the league. If you want to make the game safer you have to punish the hit not the result of it. Watching McCarty and Kocur and Yzerman makes me crazy nostalgic. In regards to Cowen's elbow on Pav and the lack of reaction from the guys, brutal and I think if Bert was in Cowen would have had to answer for it. Y'all say that we have nobody who's willing to step up and defend our stars but there's been plenty of games where someone took a run at Dats and Bertuzzi is always there instantly. He might not always drop the gloves but he makes his presence known.

What upsets me is some of the posts on here that basically criticize Franzen's inability to deal with anxiety. Whatever is wrong with him I hope he's better soon and as far as mental health issues with athletes, I hope some people grow up and respect that a mental health problem isn't something to mock.

The really baffling thing is that anybody is confused by the decision to sit your number two , oft-injured, goaltender in favour of giving your number one, solid, net minder a game to to get back before the Sharks. The Wings lost that game for a whole list of reasons and Babs and Jimmy are way down at the very bottom of it.

When Tatar and Nyquist ARE on the roster and getting a good amount of ice time they better be the second and third coming of Datsyuk because these boards are touting them as though their absence is the only thing standing between us and an undefeated season. I trust our coach and that's the last I have to say about it right now.
