I think Gillis reads LGW and he just felt so bad about all the Kenny hate around here that he decided to prove to us that there are far worse ways to manage a team and that just because it's a big trade doesn't mean it's a good trade.

I don't have as much of a problem with Torres as I do with Cooke. I know accidents happen but based on HOW they happen and his attitude about hits I just can't stand Matt.

The people demanding Kenny's head for not making big trades and getting UFAs to sign here are the same people that will demand Kenny's head when we lost a great prospect in a trade and he becomes a star somewhere else or when someone signs a big contract with us and then doesn't immediately score the trillion goals they hoped he would. I hope he's alright! He played here during his WHL days and was always nice when he was at the house so even though he plays on a team I don't like, I've got a soft spot. I'd hate to see his career end just when his team has been doing so well the past couple years.

Yes please. It will never happen but I'd love to get Seguin. I think he'll continue to improve even if he disappeared in the playoffs. And I'll say the same thing that I said about Letang... "That boy would look goooood in a Wings sweater <3"

Classy for sure but not enough to make me forget the Chicago Stronger shirts or chanting "Detroit Sucks" during every game and their cup parade. It's a shame that their fans don't live up to the standard of respect set by their organization. (Except Kane. He's the worst.)

This was a garbage fight but in my opinion the refs are the biggest issue. No 17 year old kid with that much adrenaline is counting how many punches he's thrown or looking to see if the other kid is trying to hit back. He's landing as many as he can and the refs job is to protect them and they failed. All I'm saying is that if this kid gets convicted then you've set a precedent and there's nothing to stop people from pressing charges every time they lose a fight or are the victim of anything on the ice where there was a clear intent to injure.

Kid started it. Other kid took it WAY too far. Still don't think he should be criminally charged. Just banned from the league or something equally serious but not criminal. I just think it's a slippery slope to press charges on a hockey fight.

I would like to see a past player present it. BUT I do feel a small sense of comradery with the fans in the arena knowing we all bond over our hatred of the troll.

Despite being the best player in the league, I wouldn't want to give up anything good for him. Maybe I'm putting too much importance on personality of a player but part of the reason I fell in love with the Wings was because of the type of players that they had. Crosby is every primadonna trait that I hate rolled in to one player.

It's not just the size of the goalie equipment but the size of the goalies themselves that has changed. I'm also too young to answer this question and the eras are too far apart, too many factors.

This flooding has been crazy. I'm 4 hours away but there's been flooding from Calgary all the way to Sparwood and all the rivers are dangerously high here. A lot of my friends were put out of their homes. Very sad. In regards to Saddledome and the stampede grounds this is a huge blow to Calgary. Stampede brings in millions of dollars to the city and it was supposed to start two weeks from now.

I'd be okay with 3 on 3. I'd be even more okay with the shootout being gone entirely.

There isn't a scenario in which I would want less hockey.

My only problem with Maclean winning is that even if I wasn't a Wings fan I'd be saying Babs should have had it. When you consider what he lost (not just retirement but our insane injury list) and the fact that he still got the Wings to the playoffs. The fact that Q was nominated was maybe the most irritating thing about the awards this year.

41 games in 2006 was a lot but his wrist never caused him to miss a game again until the last 26 games of this season. Seems to me that his wrist isn't so much an ongoing problem as it is two unfortunate injuries 7 years apart.
