Well it must have been an important game for the canucks, because Luongo played how he usually plays in important games.Datsyuk showed off his pinball skills. Howard proved just how average he is stopping 33 out of 35 shots. Zetterberg broke the scoring slump. Burrows is making progress (I only saw 2 dives from him).

I see a lot to brag about. They proved that they can survive without lidstrom. They are still one of the better defensive teams in the league. Mistakes are bound to happen when the defense is so young, but they have otherwise been extremely impressive.I think your proposition is the definition of a "knee jerk reaction"

Chasing down that puck, then diving and getting the puck before the defenders legs, then getting up and controlling the puck, then scoring from in that close... Wow! All of those things take great skill alone, but putting them all together in a 5 second sequence is absolutely amazing

I think Seth Jones is going to be the best #1 overall pick since Crosby and ovechkin in the mid 2000s. He just always seems so composed on the ice. His style is a little bit like lidstrom except he hits more. (Not calling him the next lidstrom, just saying he plays like him). I would love to see Holland trade up, even if it means losing a good player like filppula in a package deal. Probably won't happen though...
