Haven't read through the gdt, but was anyone else impressed with Ericsson? I've never seen him so confident handling the puck!

3-0 Z x2 Weiss

Last year the experts expected us to be a bubble team, and we were, but I thought we were better than our record showed. Especially at the end of the year. This year the experts predict a first or second place finish and I have to agree with them. Boston seems like our biggest threat and they are going through pretty significant changes just like us I don't see why we can't contend for the eastern conference title and then some

Are they coming now for the preview thing? I don't remember them filming early in the season other years
-
It's nice to see how much Boston fans respect/fear us. "They get more fans at our home games than we do!" "They snapped our win streak!" Love it. f***ers.

Sad. He's a good player and deserves to have a job

Holland is going to trim down the roster, meaning he will trade away some of our 4th liners Miller Tootoo Eaves Emmerton I expect at least one of these guys to be traded away for picks

Signed Cleary re-signs with Detroit, 1 year, $1.75m deal
wingsfan4795 replied to wingedominance13's topic in General
It's only one year and there's nothing wrong with having competition on the 4th line. Didn't we have 5 4th liners in 2008? Edit: that was assuming Cleary ends up on the 4th line. I don't really want Tatar to end up down there -
Wow this team will be solid for the next several years
-
I like them

Or we could have taken him and iginla along with alfie and this year would be a mini-2002 haha He whines on rare occasions but I have never seen him dive. In fact, you are the first person I've heard who has called him a diver

What does this post mean?

every team plays 1 home and 1 road game against each team in the other conference. I'm looking forward to March 11 and March 25 at Columbus. Hopefully I can make it to at least one of those games. Also I'm REALLY looking forward to watching 24/7! HBO does that so well every year. They made me actually like tolerate Pittsburgh for 1 hour each week in December 2010!

Pound for pound- tootoo

They have to get rid of some players to get down to a legal roster size. Eaves tootoo seem like the easiest 4th liners to trade (for picks). Emmerton would be traded or waived because theres no space
-
Yes, and none of those guys are going to re-sign either! I'm so glad we got a stab at Perry and getzlaf this year like everyone said. Oh wait...
-
It's hard to predict anything in the playoffs, but I expect them to compete for the #1 spot in their division
-
I agree with everything except I think New York's defense is better than ours. They have some crazy young defensemen (staal, del Zotto, etc)This is definitely a solid team though
-
I agree about brunner. I wouldn't make the bobby Ryan trade if we would have to overpay as much as Ottawa did.

I know a lot of people don't like Sammy, and he isn't my favorite player either, but I think some of the hate is a little over the top. Before his injury, he was always good for about 1/2 a point per game. That's pretty decent if you ask me. In a 4th line role, I would love Sammy. Other than that we don't really have room for him. Vinny plays a style that causes a decline. He's already declining in fact. Zetterberg doesn't. Get it? You say "kids these days" and then you post condescending laughter? Do I need to ask your age? Considering we have an illegal amount of roster players, i think its safe to say there will be some trades, and there will be cap space that opens up. So I agree with you.
-
I said lecavalier is worse NOW than Zetterberg will be IN 3 YEARS. I wouldn't be surprised if Zetterberg at 40 turns out to be better than lecavalier now... You were complaining about the ling contract for Z, yet you want to sign a player that's going to be like bertuzzi in 5 years. But you're right, the world is ending. You might as well jump ship now. I heard the Columbus bandwagon is the hot spot right now
-
Yet you wanted lecavalier (a player that is worse now than Zetterberg will be at 35) for 5 years

Just read that emmerton may be kept around in case helm's back acts up again. Makes sense.
