I'm going to add my 2 cents here, FWIW...
Preds fans are just fine and no more obnoxious than any others out there. I went to a Wings/Preds playoff game a few years back down in Nashvegas. I was surrounded by Preds fans in the upper bowl. Heck, I was darned near the only Wings fan in the entire section. There was one other Wing fan about 15 rows above me (just north of the nosebleeds).
The chants of "You suck!" came from a section on the opposite side of the bowl from me - I think they were "sponsored" by a local radio station. The couple sitting next to me, decked out in as much Preds gear as they could fit on their bodies, spent most of the game tsk-tsking the loud and obnoxious fans across the bowl.
Bottom line for me is this: The Preds fans treated me very nicely during my visit. I was surrounded by 'em going in, and I was surrounded by 'em when I came out. Not one made me feel uncomfortable. Good hosts, good game ('cept the good guys lost ), good fans. I'll go back when I can.
