So if he's already made 27 million, he's still got 50 or so million left to go. 50 million? Gee, I think I'll retire. Like I said, GIMME A BREAK.
-
Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Filppula I'd like to see that line.
-
Ericsson needs to develop into a PP pointman. He's got a hard shot.
-
It's hard not to like Huds when he's playing good like right now.
-
Yah, he's doing very well. I can't wait to see what his stats look like after 20 games.
-
yah right. I think I'l retire from my million dollar NHL salary and go work as a cashier at a local Best Buy. Gimme a break.

Fair enough. But watch the difference between Lidstrom and White in future games when playing a dumped puck. Lidstrom only goes in first when he knows he has a big enough gap between him and the forward and will be able to play the puck comfortably. If not, he slows down and puts himself in position to play defense = between the net and the forward. Ian White didn't do that last night a few times and got stripped of the puck while he was behing the forward = scoring chance for the other team. I realize that noone plays as fundamentally sound as Lidstrom, so I'm not saying Ian White can't make a few mistakes. I'm just saying that he did.

I thought Ian White made a lot of mistakes tonight. He's got the same problem Rafalski had when going into the boards with a forward. He doesn't keep his position between forward and net and lets the forward muscle him off the puck. It happened twice tonight and both times the Wild got good scoring chances. Ericsson was invisible. He shanked a one-timer that was set up perfectly for him, and he missed a few other plays as well. He needs to move around and get involved more. He's too timid out there.

Hudler is a big part of the the resurgence of Filppula and Franzen right now. Tonight showed that Filppula and Franzen play good with Huds alongside them. Points for all of them tonight.
-
He's got 4 points in 4 games, and he really hasn't even hit his stride yet. I predict a lot of good things for Huds this season.
-
Hudler is currently out-producing Franzen at this point in the season. I think that shows that Franzen might not be where he wants to be yet. We'll see as the games roll on. But I think Franzen really struggled with injuries the last two years, and he has a lot to prove coming back from them this year.
-
Yah, I think Bernie Nicholls is more of the "a few good seasons" type of guy. Brett Hull was pretty money all the way through.
-
The Mule can be a force when he's ON. He's been OFF for a while now. I just want to see him get back on track and become the wrecking ball he used to be. Hudler has never been a force. He's always been a crafty 30-40 point third liner. I don't see what's wrong with giving him 5 years / 12.5 million to play his role on the team.
-
EXACTLY. Now you're getting it. If Helm gets tired, throw Eaves or Miller up there with Mule and Z for a shift. Just keep Holmstrom off the ice 5 on 5 until we have at least a 2 goal lead. Holmstrom's value is on the PP. Use him there, and give Helm/Eaves/Miller a bit more ice time 5 on 5 where they are more effective. Make sense?
-
The NHL would be dumb to put Detroit in the South East. They need to have 4 divisions of 8 or 8 divisions of 4. One or the other.
-
They should roll em like this: Cleary-Pavs-Huds Franzen-Zetterberger-Helm Abdelkader-Filppula-Bertuzzi Eaves-Helm-Miller Put Holmstrom in Helm's 2nd line spot when the team is up by 2 or more or Helm needs a blow. Holmstrom on PP too.

Veterans Players Choosing to Wear visors/ Younger Players Going Withou
Scott Stevens replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
At one point, the players didn't even wear helmets. That's insane. -
Oh yah. Hudler is back. Franzen is still working his way back. He's doing pretty good, but he has a lot more to prove this year than Hudler does.
-
Let's just see if Franzen can get back to his old self. We need it. Hudler is back to his old self. Now we gotta get Franzen back.
-
Franzen killed it in ONE game in 2010 and wasn't the same in all the rest. He hasn't played like himself the last 2 playoff seasons. The Sharks have something to do with this, because they are good. But he has to pick it up this year. Everyone knows this.
-
We already discussed his no-show the last 2 years against the Sharks. What else do you want me to rehash?
-
Crysmon, The people in the other Hudler thread are saying Franzen is a floater. Do you agree with that?
-
I'm glad someone realizes that a winger can only be so good depending on the center he has to play with. I think a lot of people on here wouldn't know why Jari Kurri ended up with 600 goals and Willy Lindstrom did not.

One song I do like that the guy plays at the Joe is Banditos by the Refreshments. That's a good tune.

Flips is a good skater. That video shows a little bit of his skillz.
