I was almost seven when this game happened; watched it at home with my dad, and its earliest clear sports related memory that I have. I still end up watching this video every couple of months when I decide to kill time watching hockey clips on youtube.

Hopefully theyre able to open up a little bit of a cushion ahead of Nashville. Dont see them falling to 6th, so home ice would be nice

My roommate's a Ducks fan, so when they were on their run last month, he kept saying how they were going to make the playoffs. Whenever he got too excited, I'd just bring this site up, and tell him their current chance at making the playoffs, which maxed out at around 6% if I remember correctly.

Would love to be able to go. it'd definitely be worth the trip up from San Diego, even though I'd probably freeze to death. Already have a friend who goes to U of M looking into getting tickets, so hopefully that works.

Anybody else notice the hat Franzen was wearing during that interview? It had McCrimmon and Salei patches, but had the mlb logo on the back. Is it a special Tigers cap, or did somebody just mess up and put the wrong logo on the back?

I know its not proof of any sort, but during the Kings-Sharks game earlier this week, the Kings announcers mentioned that it was one of the owners who wanted the new boards to emulate those at the Joe.

Spent a long time over the offseason debating which player to have for my new jersey. Eventually decided to go with Kronner, so I'm super happy to see that I'll be able to wear the jersey for a long time to come. Unfortunately, I got it before he was announced as being one of the alternate captains, so no A.

Well, it looks like they're playing vintage Red Wings hockey tonight. I mean, the goal was created by a wide shot from Lidstrom and then Homer got a goal waved off because he's too god at what he does. Are there any other plays that better reflect the Wings over the past decade?

I've been noticing this as well. My take is that they despite being better at winning faceoffs, they don't want Fil to worry about the added defensive responsibilities of playing center at ES. However, with the man advantage, puck possession is more important than defensive responsibilities
