I voted signing our FA's, because it seems pretty obvious this team is missing something at this point. Bringing in Lilja for Smith is the second worst possibility. Not because i have anything against Lilja, but because it would mean giving up Smith to get him. Lids leaving and the Canucks winning, I could deal with, as I've half expected both for the past couple years. Finally, Hudler getting a huge raise could be disastrous, like everyone else has said, but it also means he might have enough money to take some skating lessons in the offseason. Also, maybe getting outpaid by hudler will piss off the mule and actually make him play night in night out.

In Semin's defense, he's actually been putting effort in so far in these playoffs, (I even saw him play defense!) which is more than you can say about the Wings' resident lazy sniper

While you may take his body language as him not having anything left in the tank, I saw it as him being upset that he wasn't able to do as much as he would like to help the team due to his lingering injury. And while that doesn't bode well for his recovering from any injury next year, he's been pretty damn good at keeping himself healthy this far.

To put it simply, Bert's done his time; changed his approach to the game, and still feels terrible about what happened. Weber on the other hand, did something Just as malicious. Yeah, you can argue that, unlike Bert, it was in the heat of the moment, and luckily didn't have any lasting effects, but it was in the same vein. Not to mention it happened less than a week ago!
