I'm putting my faith in the fact that Holland and Babcock are much better judges of hockey potential than all of us here. People here, myself included, make quick inferences on a shift by shift, game by game basis. Thes guys are paid to see the big picture and that's what they're doing. Kid is going to be here a while. We will all have a laugh when he's a top level NHL defenseman for years to come.

The hockey gods had this series scheduled as soon as the re-alignment was finalized. I have a feeling the wings take game one behind a sluggish start by Chicago and game 7 intensity by the winged wheel. Chicago has been sitting around. Detroit gets a nice little rest and they're right back to work. -
Babcock was the only one in the world who realized the potential Abdelkader has. As well as he's played, I bet Babs continues to challenge him to take his game to the next level.
