Awesome. I hope he doesn't have any lingering issues from earlier tonight.
-
Nothing official, but look for one of the back-ups to start in goal.
-
Agreed. Last off-season was devastating for the hockey community.
-
It has nothing to do with profanity. Those are thing's I'd expect out of Trashville, or SJ. I guess I just don't get "jeering".

You guys stay classy.

Mike Commodore to Tampa Bay for a Conditional 7th round pick. -
As much as I agree with you, I think Quincey was more of a replacement move than an upgrade move. I hope you're right though. This. Might as well get something for Stuart than just simply lose him for nothing.
-
Yup, just speculation.
-
Stuart and Kindl (and most likely a pick) to Anaheim, Selanne to Detroit. I think Stuart has decided to go back.

Phone interview Nick Lindstrom!?!?!?!?!? Joey should know better

Kronner gets away with a lot of his hits because A) He doesn't target the head B) He doesn't lead with his elbows/shoulders and C) he's not taking 5-6 power strides to run guys into end boards. He does leave his feet on about 80% of those hits and even most of those they come off the ice after he's made contact. In the cases where he does leave his feet, its only by a few inches. Possibly enough to warrant a charging call, but he's adapted to the new rules quite well by not leading with his shoulders anymore. Skating backwards is a creative way to circumvent the wording of the rules regarding charging. I think the suspension has less to do with the actual hit itself and more to do with recent fines. Rinaldo had the right idea, just poor execution. 1 game would have been more appropriate.
-
I agree that he blundered, but he didn't "freeze" he tried to skate to the puck to follow up his whiffed pass, but en route to the puck he realized it was too late and then tried to get back to the net, if he'd gone straight there after whiffing, he might have been in position to at least block the pass.

This. I would definitely like to get in line for any tickets that our community scores. I would be in for 3 and would even throw in a little extra to show appreciation. Hopefully I can leverage my namesake to get tickets and/or autographs. In that case, I would offer those up.

We're trading John Keating and a 3rd round pick for the Red Wings truck.
-
I think this may have some truth to it, especially since Franzen was taking faceoffs toward the end of the game.

Who Could be Dealt at the Deadline?

How about we trade Franzen and a 3rd round pick for the Red Wings edition Dodge Ram. -
Looked it up. Kovy was born in Tver, Russia, which is in the Europe side. My mistake, soft Euro it is.
-
Russia is not Europe. Technically, Schenn got whooped by an Asian.
-
I think it's mostly this. After watching NJ score on their power play 3 times agains the Flyers, it's very obvious that you can't score goals with passing around the perimeter. Move the puck, move yourself. Give the defending team a chance to be confused.

http://deadspin.com/5879151/it-sounds-like-the-bruins-are-ready-to-say-goodbye-to-tim-thomas-free-citizen I couldn't find the article at the Boston Globe. But they summed it up okay in the article I've linked. This may be an interesting time for the Bruins, I don't think Rask has what it takes to take them far into the playoffs. Something interesting to keep an eye on.

This is a fantastic idea.
-
This. Happens to me all the time, but inline pucks are not nearly as damaging.

A gritty player who's beaten the snot out of Lucic, I approve.
