WCQF Game 5 GDT : Red Wings 1 at Predators 2
Winged Wheel replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Scotty Bowman left just in the nick of time. Smart man. Great coach. Illitch needs to get involved and "clean house". Starting with those two Jackasses. Holland and Babcock. Then the 6 or 7 marginal players that need to be either traded, retired or given their outright release. -

You're 100% right. -

Hopefully, Holland won't have the opportunity as he'll probably be elsewhere. And he can take that clown behind the bench with 'em. -

That's okay. Hopefully, both Holland and Babcock will lose their jobs in the coming weeks. And deservedly so. -

No scoring. This is a joke. -

Let Ken Holland pay Quincey out of his own pocket. A totally useless acquisition. -

Show 'em at the box office next season. Get rid of Holland. Get rid of Babcock. Two imposters along with a half dozen or so marginal players. Illitch will get the message. Offer Bowman or Yzerman the world to unf*** this entire organization. -

This is really disgraceful, What a f***ed-up hockey team Holland and Babcock have put together. Both should be fired. Illitch should offer either Bowman or Yzerman anything they want to "unf***" and revamp this entire organization. Starting with Holland's departure. Then Babcock. After all..........who's gonna pay to watch this garbage next season? Jimmy Howard. The "one hit ******* wonder". Nice game, Jimmy. Your expendable, too. -

Holland won't be around much longer and I really don't think he cares. -
WCQF Game Three GDT : Predators 3 at Red Wings 2

FIRE HOLLAND. THEN FIRE THAT OTHER JACKASS BEHIND THE BENCH. NO GOAL SCORIING AND THEY'RE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE. SHOTS AND CHANCES DON'T WIN HOCKEY GAMES. GOALS WIN HOCKEY GAMES. GET RID OF 'EM BOTH. AND, NO WAY IS LIDSTROM GONNA RETURN. YOU COULDN'T BLAME 'EM EITHER. THIS TEAM IS FINISHED. AND FOR QUITE SOME TIME. TOO OBVIOUS. -
WCQF Game 1 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Predators 3

It's absolutely incredible that not one Detroit player went after Weber after what he did to Zetterberg. What a team Holland and Babcock have designed. Unbelievable. I don't think that either will be around much longer. -

It was Ken Holland's job to better this team and he obviously hasn't done that. Where as other teams in the division have apparently improved as we saw tonight. I guess it all started when he let Hossa walk 2 seasons ago. He should be fired. -

Just another disgraceful ******* loss at home. This is ridiculous and especially to a slightly better than medicocre opponent with a medicore defense and goaltending. They made Crawford look great and the truth of the matter is he's no big deal and never has been. Where the hell is Illitch? Hopefully we'll be hearing from him after our early exit in the playoffs. He's the owner so let 'em do something about this fiasco and the jackasses that answer to 'em.
-
Yet another disgraceful loss at home. No scorers and no scoring. Who the hell are they gonna beat in the playoffs anyway? This team isn't going anywhere and regardless of where they finish. You can thank your overrated coach and inept General Manager.
-
How the did that Finn miss that?
-
You can blame Holland and Babcock.
-
Get rid of Holland and that "jackass" behind the bench should be right behind 'em. It's pretty obvious that this team needs a complete overhaul and starting with management. What the hell is Illitch waiting for? I've been saying this all along.
-
This disaster would've never-ever happened under Scotty Bowman. Babcock is a lousy motivator and always has been. Not to mention that Holland has (obviously) done nothing to improve this team. Kyle Quincey??? Ian White??? Nice acquisitions, Kenny. Are you kidding us? Let's see how many non-renewels they'll be or won't be at the box office in the next few months. Both Holland and Babcock should realize that. Money talks. An early exit in the playoffs could very easily mean they're exit as well. That would be the only upside to an early elimination. Tonight's loss is very indicitive of how dysfunctional both the team and management actually are. Injuries or no injuries. Itllitch will inevitably have to "clean house" and basically start from scratch.
-
Let Conklin walk home. This is an absolute disgrace. And this is a team that Ken Holland thinks is a contender?
-
No scoring and yet another loss. What else is new. Can't wait for Illitch to start making changes of his own.
-
-
Like I said..........get rid of Holland. Once the season ticket holders start complaining and cancelling.........he'll be gone and hopefully take Babcock with 'em. One of worst inspirational motivators in professional sports.
-
Yet another loss thanks to Ken Holland's inability to improve this team and it's so obvious. No sustainable offense, whatsoever. Not to mention a defense that's in total diserray. This game could've easily been 6-2 and never gone into OT. How the hell does this guy keep his job and why doesn't Illitch finally tell 'em enough is enough? I'm sure he's saved him money by doing nothing at the trade deadline but when the attendance goes down along with the television revenue.........I'm sure things will quickly change and we'll eventually get a new GM 'cause there's no way this current team is a Stanley Cup contender. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Great job, Kenny. You and (your pal) Babcock have done one helleva job.
