  1. Picked these up at a Flyers game back in 98 or 99. The players' wives hold a yearly auction for signed, game-used sticks to benefit charity and I got two, one from Derian Hatcher and another from Hall Of Fame member Doug Gilmour. Both in great condition with very nice signatures. Hatcher stick is signed on the shaft with tape still on the blade and butt end while the Gilmour stick is signed on the blade with no tape. I'd like to get $150 each (less than I paid) but prices are negotiable. Any questions just let me know. Thanks for looking.

Game-used signed sticks D. Hatcher and D. Gilmour

I've got the ticket stub from the Flyers game and the tax info I got for the donations. Compare the sigs to known examples of Hatcher and Gilmour. They're authentic. And both sticks are the same model used by both players.

    is anyone happy right now?

When he wasn't faking groin injuries. I'm pleased with what the team has done so far. They're better and along with the young guys and the move to the East it sets up well for a strong season and another playoff run.
  4. My sarcasm meter just exploded. I'm proud of this team. The future looks bright and playing in the East should be a good move. Is it October yet?

    # 51 JOKE

    Which is exactly what counts.
  6. I have no doubt this team will contend in the years to come. They've done exceptionally well, especially considering the injuries. You take this team and add DeKeyser and Helm back in and they get that much better. Howard is proving himself as a guy that can take a team deep, Dats is Dats, Z is filling out his captain's sweater quite well, and we're witnessing the intelligence of Babcock in action. Add Kenny to the mix and this team is set up for success. edit: After this playoff run I think the attractiveness of the Wings to FA goes up.
  7. Oh well, get 'em Monday in front of the home fans with last change.
  8. From the HFBoards Since when?
  9. The win in game three was the first time they'd been beat in back to back regulation games all year.
  10. Tukka Rask dropped an f-bomb during his post game interview yesterday. NHL Network played four or five times before they finally edited it out. Looked like someone in the interviewer group was messing with his gear or something. He glanced over, took the question from a guy, then looked back and said "You f****** serious?" Moved whatever it was then turned back and went on to praise his fourth line.
  11. Sitting here singing Journey with my niece right now.
  12. Huge confidence builder being able to hold that one goal lead so late into the third. That's the kind of win that will pay off as the playoffs go on.
  13. Man, I was really expecting Chicago to come around in the third and wouldn't have been surprised at all if they had scored on that last PP. Just another outstanding effort by these guys and some very, very timely saves by Jimmy.
  14. Agreed. The Hawks haven't had to really work hard for wins this season and no when the Wings smack them in the mouth they have no answer.

ECSF : (7) Ottawa Senators vs (1) Pittsburgh Penguins

Seemed like the refs were looking the other way on Pens fouls a lot last night. Adams hit on Spezza should have been called IMO. If you hit Torres for his "glancing blow" then that s*** should have been called.

I was thinking the same thing watching tonight's game. Anyone else think the Adams hit on Spezza was a little over the line? I was checking out a couple Hawks boards after yesterday's game and there was quite a bit of "The NHL is always giving calls to the WIngs" and "NBC loves the WIngs, they can do no wrong". I had to laugh.

Broadcasters referencing Michigan schools/Michigan in general

All Pierre does is mention where guys went to school, played juniors, started in the minors and who coached them in peewees. Guy adds nothing of value to any broadcast he's a part of.
  18. I had to double check and make sure I wasn't watching the Canucks the way he was whining.
  19. Anyone else catch Toews whining about the "no calls" today? guy spends the game flopping every time Z gets near him then has the nerve to cry about the refs. Classy move. edit: Just spotted LeftWinger's post. One of the top ball punchers in NHL history.

ECQF - (6) NY Rangers vs. (3) Capitals

No NHL team has lost more playoff series as the higher seed in the last 30 years than have the Caps (11 times),... or lost more series in which they led by two games (nine).
  21. Not sure if serious. One playoff series win since 2007.
