I'd love to see Getzlaf here, but that day won't come. I think with any of the big name players in the West, they will only go East. Not many owners/GM's will want to watch their ex-stars throttle them in the playoffs every year on their way to a Cup.

Seriously people.....you guys are acting like every team in the league has fallen into a bunch of talent and the Wings are scratching together a team of peewee players. We have easily 3-5 guys who as good or better than Oshie. He's probably their best player by a significant margin. -

In the universe where multiple contenders, us included, were going batsh*t crazy hoping to sign him. The question was posed about the Flyers' FA signings ending horribly. I think it's safe to say there was nothing horrible about Jagr's play last season. -

I'd welcome him back one more year, I think he plays with heart and determination (not that skillfully) but could still be an influence on the younger guys. At the very least he'd be a great pest for the goalies on the PP, which is fairly weak right now.
