According to ESPN the Flyers have landed Ray Emery for a one year deal worth 1.65m. This cheaply fills their goalie void. What a steal for a guy who only lost a handful of games last season.

This whole thing is a distraction! Keep other teams thinking they can land Brunner for around 3m while Holland knows he'll sign here, then he works some deals with a few others.....BOOM, we sign 3 quality guys all at once.

Just so I'm clear on this....Robert Lang and Ray Whitney aren't available, right? Or are we holding out for Samuelsson's nephew too, since he might be friends with Bertuzzi's brother's neighbor's dog, who ate a hockey puck once and is therefore worth a 2-year deal?
