IMHO, slows is pretty overrated. Is there any particular type of restaurant or food you want to experience? Detroit and the surrounding suburbs have really seen an explosion of great restaurants.

First, it's not clear that the players fully knew the risks. The complaint alleges that they did not. Second, there are other issues at play here. Just because someone is aware that concussions happen in hockey, it does not mean that they assume the risk of every potential cause of concussion that could occur in a game. A lot of this is going to come down to the level of care that the NHL owes to the players, and whether the NHL met that level of care.

Greek town is your best bet as far as hotels go. You can just take the people mover to go to the games. Will you have transportation? Are you comfortable driving in unfamiliar areas? If the answer to these questions are yes, I would recommend you check out some of the suburban downtown areas. Detroit is great, but there are other areas that have lots to offer.

I don't have an opinion on whether the plaintiffs should prevail. I'm just saying, at the very least, the players have an actionable claim. Granted, I haven't read the complaint. However, I have a pretty good idea of what is included. The speed of the game is immaterial here. If it can be proven that the NHL was aware that players played while concussed, I would say that is a breach of duty if they did nothing to curtail such behavior.

The NFL just paid out a $765 million settlement. I wouldn't say it is unlikely that the league will end up paying.
-
Would waiving cleary give us any cap relief?
-
Sadly, I think this is likely.
-
I'll see what I can do.
-
sad thing is this isn't even hyperbole. Of all the guys we would realistically waive, eaves and tootoo were the two that would most likely have been claimed off waivers.
-
So, you're saying this team needs a Quincendectomy? Count me in.
-
I missed it. How'd Sammy get hurt?
-
If DD's stats take a substantial hit, I don't see how Babs can justify playing Quincey when E comes back.Edit: Oh, E is playing. I'm only paying half attention (studying).

For real. The only reason he put Tatar on the second line was because alfie went down.
-
A real fan would go to the games. That was sarcasm. I really hate when people try to dictate what makes someone a good fan or not. If someone does not want to invest their time or money in something, that should not determine whether or not they're a "good fan." Sweet, we got one.
-
Did that happen during a line change? I feel like we've been having a lot of bad changes, lately.

"After being a healthy scratch last game, Daniel Cleary will return to the Wings lineup against the Washington Capitals Friday, replacing Tomas Tatar. When I looked at our lineup (Tuesday) I thought that was a spot I felt we could have been better so he gets an opportunity to watch, Wings coach Mike Babcock said. Hell get back in." That was from George Malik You're right. I have no idea how anyone could ever interpret that to mean that Babcock was planning to sit tatar.
-
If true, then I'm ashamed to be. a wings fan. These are people they're dealing with. Once Kenny made the decision, he should have called eaves before filing the paperwork or whatever formality puts it into motion.

http://www.wingingitinmotown.com/2013/11/13/5099686/evaluating-tomas-tatar This article analyzes Tatar's Corsi rating and the ratings of of players he skates with. Bottom line, this does not make any sense. Is there really not a single player who is more deserving of time I'm the press box? I'm not usually one to speculate, but I'm really beginning to think Babs dislikes Tatar.

Let the meltdown commence.

Oh ye of little faith.

I agree 100%. Going by the eye test, I can't remember another period of time when we were giving up as many shots as we have been lately. Against Dallas, Howard was screened on both of the last two goals. Against Tampa, he was beat by onetimer that was scored by a guy who should have been covered, not to mention the pass only happened because of Q's turnover. It'a also tiresome hearing people say we'll never win a cup with Howard. He has gotten better every year. He only let in 1/33 shots, in regulation, against Chicago in game 7. That's a clutch performance in the most high-pressure situation that Howard's ever been in. I saw it suggested, on here, that we should pursue lundqvist next year. For what? The guy has a 2% higher save percentage over his career. That does not warrant the 25% higher salary salary he commands. Howard is the best, established established goalie for the money.

You can't leave your guy alone in front of the net.

Have any of our passes not been intercepted?

There are plenty of threads that contain these discussions you speak of. I have a problem with this thread because it was started for solicitation purposes, not to foster a discussion. I wouldn't even have this much of a problem if it was started by an established LGW member. But the OP just dropped this thread on us then left. He isn't contributing anything to the forum. He's using LGW to get more traffic to his Facebook page and signatures for his petition. If I have done or said anything inappropriate, the mods would let me know.

I fully understand the desire to have him in the game. Yzerman is one if my favorite players of all time. But, the guy has repeatedly said he does not want to play. I really don't like the idea of this petition. He doesn't owe us anything. This petition will only put pressure him to do something he does not want to do. Why are your desires so much more important than his? Edit: Also, you made an account here just so you could get more people to sign your petition. You're using the forum and its members to further your own selfish goals.
