Wow, what a solid effort by the team tonight. The refs really put away their whistles in the latter half of the third period and OT. I kind of liked it though. Eaves impressed me most with both his forecheck and backcheck. Also, Zetterberg stood out--had 8 shots! I'd like Tootoo back in the lineup but can't seem to replace him with anyone. Sammy was the quietest to me. The Red Wings dominated that OT. I would have been super depressed if they lost after all their hard work in that OT -

I hardly even noticed Sammy out there last game. But, the stats sheet says he got an interference penalty on Selanne, 2 shots, 2 hits, and -1 in 11:48 TOI. Played with Eaves and Emmerton on the 4th line. From 4th to 1st--what a promotion! -

Media: Is it important to see them understand how important this streak is? Babcock: Well, they're big boys. I mean they understand what's going on more than anybody. They make their living here, and they got a lot of pride wearing the sweater ... Just because people on the outside that don't live here don't see it the same way doesn't change the way we think. We're a different team than we've been--that doesn't mean we're not working or competing.
