They'd score points but sorry nowhere near what Hersley has put up. There are a lot of capable defensemen in the KHL right now and he leads them all. He also has an absolute booming shot that at least Smith can only dream of and he is a big body and right hand shot. Where do you suppose we find these qualities elsewhere?? Btw Sproul has 3 goals so far this season in 37 games in the AHL which is a clearly lesser league compared to the KHL where Hersley has 15 goals now in 46 games. And granted he is 6years older but he also has 30lbs on Sproul. Also this guy was drafted, he is however as I said a bit of a late bloomer.

I know you guys are right but this player still offers something important that none of our current players or prospects do. I doubt it's going to happen too but it would be nice if at least one of our 6 dmen could put up some points. I have a feeling we'll see Hersley in the NHL one way or another within a season or two here.
-
Of course but he's not bad at the other stuff either, he might need some time to get into it but he could give us a huge weapon on PP that we really have no other way of acquiring.
-
Those are both valid issues but we all know how incredibly hard it is to find a scoring defenseman that can control your powerplay, They're almost impossible to acquire these days and a longshot like this might be worth trying out? I'm fairly certain he'd be much better already than DK, KFQ, Smith or whoever we use on point in PP these days outside of Kronwall possibly.

The young kid team is gonna get run over and this seems more like a jippo than anything else. Give me the olympics instead.

There's only one #41 Glendening!!!
-
Its still your job to try and if you end up making the situation even worse then some of the responsibility is on you as well.
-
Ah gotcha so maybe we shouldn't even have a goalkeeper to begin with? if he needs to stop a puck it must mean that someone else made a mistake first and that should never happen... Look up the definition of team game... as for Mrazek yeah he did a real swell job imitating a Swiss cheese there.
-
Of course it is, players bail eachother out all the time. That's how team sports work and they all have a responsibility to play their given situation right no matter how it occured in the first place.
-
It's an interesting view that it's solely the player who makes the first mistake that is to blame for any given situation even if there are several mistakes made by other players later on that make the situation even worse. Do you think Mrazek played the situation well? if not I think we have at least two players who could've done a better job here...
-
Great reply dude, I am awestruck by your wit...
-
In my original post I blamed mostly Ericsson and Mrazek and a tiny bit on Smith for being incredibly Passive. How you turn that into me not blaming Ericsson at all and putting it all on Smith is quite incredible... or maybe just massively disingenous?
-
Again let me hit a hard knee high pass by you then and we'll see if you can bat it down? or we can watch a couple games and see how often that exact play happens and how it's almost never batted down like that. Maybe then you'll understand the risk involved a bit better. He willfully misrepresents everything I said and I'm supposed to take it seriously? come on now...
-
You missed pretty much everything but it's ok, I have a feeling that happens to you a lot.
-
Sweeeeeeet!!! Would be nice if they didn't switch to that s***ty from behind camera during the shootouts though, can barely see what's going on.
-
Cheer up guys, Howard isn't playing, we have a shot here!
-
Oh please we've both seen that pass be successful more times than we can count, it might not have been the smartest choice in that situation but it wasn't a high-risk play either if anything it was an elite move by Parise oh and a goalie who completely moved out of the way of course.
-
Just as good as your sense of humor I imagine. Let me try to make a hard knee high pass by you then and we'll see how many out of a 100 that you manage to bat down and stop right on your blade...
-
The pass wasn't that bad, the take down from Parise however was very elite.
-
That's exactly the problem in this case, the play took forever to develop and where was he???
-
Good job Ericsson and Mrazek, fantastic play... Honourable mention to Smith who stood in the corner rolling his thumbs the entire time.

There are very very few players in this league I'd rather have as our captain than the Zetterbeard... -

Btw isn't it a little weird that Pav has 0 hattricks and the Zetterbeard now has 6??
