Yes and Pulkky's definitely been given a chance this time, he's playing with good players and getting PP time but he's just not that involved in anything. He tries hard but nothing happens. -

Well any tactic would've worked out well for that team, it would've been more of an achievement if he had managed to not win somehow. Not sure if it's the best way for the wings to be playing though.

Of course Babs had access to better players during the olympics but he played the same type of defense first, win by one goal type of game as he tries to do with the wings.

Do we need a trade to get our offence going ?

That being said we probably do need to trade a forward within a season or two if we want there to be room for Mantha and Pulkkinen but I don't think it should be Tatar. -
Wouldn't surprise me actually considering how we played today, complete lack of energy the entire game. The only positive thing about this is that more than half our team was -96 or younger so they'll get a new shot next year.

Kinda typical Sweden to play the worst game of the tournament when it matters the most. They look like kids playing against adults out there today. Good luck Russia in the finals, if you play like you did today you have a good chance at upsetting the canadians.

I hope so but I think any team out of US, Sweden, Russia, Finland can give Canada a real good run for their money if they play a good game. It's all in how the game unravels though. On paper Canada should win the tournament almost every year but yet they haven't won since -09 now. I think you have an edge against Sweden if we meet in the finals as well but we shall see.

And they haven't really met any good opposition yet except possibly team USA who didn't exactly play their best game.

I don't know if playing strong d and puck possession against Denmark of all teams is really all that impressive...

The tripping penalty to 5on4 was a bit cheap but it was incredibly stupid of Honka stay out there after he lost his helmet to create that 5on3 too.

Not particularly surprised that Russia won, they have been underestimated from the beginning this year but you can never count them out. They were actually by a fairly wide margin the best team in the game against Sweden too even if they lost that one. 3-2 to Sweden right now, this game is going to be super tight as usual when we play Finland.
